Same here. Quarry UD. Similar to Chagaev.

On paper, the size desparity looks atrocious, but after seeing Valuev basically lose to a 200 year old Holyfield, I think I'm going with Jerry.

Quarry outworks and outpunches valuev. For all of his size and strength valuev has very little skill or power. He's also very slow, which would give quarry the opportunity to get underneath his punches and work inside.

That combined with Valuev's consistently lackluster showings.

He did look decent against Lyakhovich, however.

I don't think it really matters. The guy has looked like shit in so many of his fights that he can't be given the benefit of the doubt against all time great acheivers. Truthfully, I don't even know if he would have beaten James Quick Tillis at his best.

I think I like Quarry in this one to take this...Jerry will have to get past Valuev's long Jab and get inside...12 inches in height and 130 lbs from Valuev could present a problem until Jerry get inside with his hook to the body and right hand...Quarry had more power and Valuev would be getting hit with power shots...Could Nicolay hang in there?...I would not be suprised if RSC with Valuev getting a drudging.....or it could be a lot of holding jabbing and confuse the judges for a "who won this fight? Decision"

Valuev by decision.

I see Quarry actually knocking this guy out much like he did Jack Bodell, maybe not as quickly but in the same manner, very cleanly.

The thought crossed my mind but since Nic has never been stopped, its hard for me to say what it takes to stop him and whether Quarry has it.

Quarry would beat Valuev, either by decision or late round stoppage. I think this fight would unfold much the same way Quarry's 1969 victory over Buster Mathis happened. Quarry was too fluid, too tough, too hard-hitting and too savvy for Valuev. Valuev is not a bad fighter overall, but I don't think he could have succeeded against the best fighters of the 1970s.

Quarry was tough, good against big men and had the power to hurt and stop Valuev. The guys who wold have troubled Jerry were Ibragimov and Chagaev...cautious, defensive, savvy boxers who would have countered and gone for a points decisions.

I heard the ladies fancied Quarry.

I certainly wouldn't say he's an evolutionary mistake like Valuev.
