In reality its not going to happened :smoke we will never have true HW champion of the world :verysad
I propose however to vitualy establish ESB HW champion of the world within two weeks competition :bbb
1) First lets clear up the upcoming scheduled HW title fights ...
Holyfield-Ibragimov and Maskaev-Peter.
You decide who wins. I give you 3 days to finalize the poll.
2) After all titlelists are known, we start 4-man tournaments ...
one competition for each of WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO title.
You decide who will participate in each tournament, you must write
your favourite candidates and for which title you wanna him/them to fight
The most favoured candidates will fight to death to be next mandatory challenger. :bbb
The 4-man competition start right after the pt 1) will be cleared.
One exception - the IBF tournament has been already chosen: Brock-Povetkin, Byrd-Chambers.
So you decide for the next 12 names, you have 3 days ...
3) After the mandatory challengers are chosen we start the mandatory defenses.
4) After new order is established we will start title unifications ....
Within next two weeks we decide who the new HW champion of the world is
and who and how does he beat. Are you in :hi: ... if yes then start play :thumbsup

Peter is gonna lay Maskaev out cold EARLY.
The Holyfield-Ibragimov fight is harder to predict, but I'm not sold on Sultan at all, and I think Holyfield will train like a maniac for this fight - he knows it's his last shot. Something tells me the old warrior will pull it out, maybe even by late TKO.

Based on current Top-15 Ratings( as of 8-07-2007 ), My *choices are...
WBC;
Vladimir Virchis - Juan Carlos Gomez /
Oliver McCall - David Tua
WBA;
Nicolay Valuev - Kali Meehan /
Serguei Liakhovich - Michael Moorer
WBO;
Alexander Dimitrenko - V. Klitschko /
Tony Thompson - Matt Skelton
My candidates for the four-man tournaments:
WBC - McCall, Vitaly K, Virchis, Thompson
WBA - Valuev, Lyakhovich, Fields, Gomez
WBO - Golota, Tua, Arreola, Dimitrenko
...Tournaments are supposed to involve ONLY Contenders who are rated within the Top-15 of each( WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO ), to determine Opponents for each Champ!?
NOT RATED Top-15 by WBC;
V. Klitschko & Tony Thompson
NOT RATED Top-15 by WBA;
Tye Fields
NOT RATED Top-15 by WBO;
Andrew Golota, David Tua & Cris Arreola

Its all pollitics and connections who is in the ranks and who isn't.
For example Meehan and Moorer in top 15th?
I give you chance to be the one who decide which boxer is valuable
and which should get a chance for the elliminator tournament.
You da man!
At the very end the ESB ringpoll will decide who the real champion is.

Holy is young again, he can definitely pull an upset.

Meehan never was really title material, and Moorer have the best years long time ago.
The one good thing is they stay active recently and wins but I think its too early for
them to be included into the elliminators.
Its better to include some fresh upcommers or fighters who guarantee some excitement.

Thanks Sweden,
New report from round 7.
Peter 39 - Maskaev 20. Seems like Maskaev too many knockdowns.
Holyfield 25 Ibragimov 35, 1 draw.
Poor stamina in Holy this time, his age insn't helping him which should be expected.

Threats to Wladimir
1. Vitali
2. Povetkin (if he keeps developing the way he has)
4. A lucky punch
None of the others can touch him on points, a puncher's chance is the only way to beat him.

So far summary of the contenders for tournaments. I place these who
got most votes first and arrange them for the most votes per particular title.
After that the less voted guys.
WBC:
----------------
McCall - 4
Gomez - 3 + 1 (WBA)
Virchis - 3 + 1 (WBA)
Vitaly -2 +1 (WBO)
----------------
Rahman - 2
WBA:
---------------
Valuev - 4
Lyakhovitch - 3 + 1 (WBO)
Ruiz - 2
Tua - 1 +1 (WBO) +1 (WBC)
---------------
Fields - 1
Meehan - 1
Moorer - 1
Williamson - 1
WBO:
--------------
Thompson - 3 + 1 (WBC)
Briggs - 2
Golota - 2
Dimitrenko - 2
Skelton - 2
---------------
Arreola - 1
Quendo - 1
If nobody put more inputs then the only thing will be to remove
one WBO contender who keeps 2 votes so far.
I like a ballance between 2 older guys and two new contenders
so if you have nothing else in particular I will chose between
Dimitrenko and Skelton. Probably I will include Skelton bcs he is 40
and this will be his last chance to chave a crack at the title.
So put more options if you are not satisfied with the current rank.

I would prefer Dimitrenko. Skelton never was and never willo be any serious threat. Let's see what folks think about Dimitrenko. Personally I think he lacks the roughness that is needed to weather the storm when things get tough. He'll freeze up and will be on his way to la la land. Skelton is just plodding boring fighter that lacks the technique and the punch to test any of the real contenders.

Summary for the current tile fights:
Peter 44 - Maskaev 22. Peter start with many votes on KO, then Maskaev
got back with UD equaling Peter to the middle of the contest. Somewhere
from round 5/6 Peter took huge lead in KO votes. So the conclusion is
either:
Peter KO 1 or Peter TKO 6 ... good job Peter :bbb !
Holyfield 25 - Ibragimov 42, 1 draw. Holy was good contender until round 5,
it was even score then. From round 6/7 Ibragimov took big lead and
Holyfield did not score anything ... stamina problems very possible.
Conclusion:
Ibragimov UD or TKO 7 :thumbsup
Happy retirement Holyfield! :soccerye::soccergr::soccerbl::soccerred
