Those of you who live in Germany, just how marketable is JC Gomez over there now? Can he sell or draw six figure paydays, or has his day come and gone?

I like Gomez, and I for my part enjoy watching his fights. However,I am certainly belong to a small minority here in europe who is truly interested in him.
He is hardly marketable here in europe-neither in Germany nor in any other european country.
Even in Germany where he has fought dozens of times his name is hardly recognisable and known among sport fans, and even among hardcore fans he is one of the least popular fighters out there.
Life isnt fair!

Gomes was very good champ at cruserweight , also was good in the heavyweight before four years but know i think that he is old and cant give any more for boxing.
Respect for him but he must retired like one great fighter.

What fights? He killed his own career through laziness and inactivity.

Right now hes on a comeback trail, maybe he gets a titleshot next year but if he wins it is another question. He wants to fight Wladimir, but this would be a verry difficult fight for him!! I bet he will have a rematch with McCall next time.

Good point,emanuel!
You are absolutely right in saying this.Thats for sure!
But whenever you watch Gomez display his talent inside a boxring you have to admit that he has tons of talent and skill.
I have watched so many of his fights at cruiser. He for sure was fun to watch. The talent, the firepower, the skills, the moves, everything is there.
He could have been among the top 5 at heavy weight if..................well,......if..............he had prefered sweating in a gym to partying......to.................. .
Makes me sad to see so much wasted talent!

I don't usually make posts on here ... only read them.
But I have to comment that the statement above resonates
with me. I'd like to see Gomez fight someone in the next 12
months who will either put him into the HW top 5 odd or
knock him out of the picture for good.
I *was* interested in him and would pay to see him in a meaningful
fight, but for the reasons above I just lost interest and eventually
got annoyed. I strongly dislike fighters who mess around boxing
fans.
No doubt there are a lot of boxing fans out there like me who
think the same way.

He was a great cruiser who became a mediocre heavyweight. I'll watch his old fights but not his new ones.

Truth can be found in your post, rumour.Nevertheless this mediocre heavy weight will defeat McCall in their upcomming bout.He beat him in their first encounter, and he will repeat it in their second encounter.:D
