Looking at the guys record on another site (who he's beaten and who he has lost to) i would say that this is a much easier fight than Shannon Taylor who it was rumoured Green may be fighting. Incredibly easy 1st fight back.

My goodness, not even in my wildest dreams did I think the circus would reach these proportions. What on earth has Australian boxing come to?? :patsch
So just summarising:
- Geale beats nobody McKinnon
- Mundine beats Taylor
- Taylor is looking to take on Geale's leftovers McKinnon
- Taylor also negotiating a rematch with Mundine ??? (oh god why)
- Green wants to fight Taylor
- Taylor wants Green
- Mundine to take on Geale
- Taylor looking to challenge Geale
Australian boxing is becoming like Melrose Place . . . everyone wants to hook up with everyone, and it's one soap opera after another.
The circus is in FULL swing guys. Enjoy it while it lasts.

So I guess Taylor is fighting on the Mundine under card?
SexualPanda

I'm predicting that Mundine and Green will be fighting on the same card at some stage this year. Once again, both to take on Rico Chong Nee calibre fighters. The publicity generated did wonders the first time around, can't see why they wouldn't do it again.

I think the word "poor" is an understatement. Don't expect to see any improvement in Green's next 2 oppoenets either.
Just saw on fightnews.com the circus, . . . oops I mean REMATCH is scheduled for early 2010. Guess I was right afterall saying it would happen in around 12 months time.
Mundine will fight Geale to pick up a meaningless worldtitle belt and call it a day at MW. He will then announce a move to LHW, and proceed to have a couple of fights to get used to the weight against cab drivers.
Please try and contain my excitement.

This is exactly what will happen. Mundine will beat geale for the IBO 160 belt then proclaim that he is the middle king, similar to Hagler and Hopkins. No way in the world will he fight Sturm in Germany and risk losing (i think Sturm would beat him at this stage) before his big $$$$ bout with Green at 175.
So in summary i predict Mundine beats Geale comfortably on points then says Pavlik/Abraham/Sturm won't come to the party and then moves up to 175 and fights 2 bums to get ready for Green. Don't be surprised if the Green-Mundine bout is for a WBF or WBU 175 belt then Anthony can retire and say he is a 4 time 3 weight world champ and P4P king when in reality he has never won a world title belt.

Nuts. He gives up his world title to retire only to return less than a year later. If it was just a year off he wanted he probably could have held on to the title with a few porkies as to when he was able to fight.

Green was always going to fight lower level fighters for the first 2 fights....then maybe a top 25 guy with a name like Mack or Branco.....easy wins for Green....Branco that is......maybe not Mack......however it builds his ranking....maybe gives him half a shot at a vacant title.
Green may even get back into the WBA with a good rank to start.
Wont pay $50 for this fight......I will pay if he fights a good fighter.

if Green was half the machine we are led to believe he is, a top ten oponent would be satisfactory to begin with. Top Ten doesnt make a guy a superstar... Fighting anything less than top 15 is not worth $5/veiw... let alone $50 for another South African taxi driver

Talking of cab drivers....I just saw Danny Green training yesterday........it was about 10pm......he was in the main street of Perth.......at a cab rank.....as the drivers pulled up.......he just started punching them through the window....one after the other.....he was yelling.......I am better than you Mundine :yikes...well maybe it might not have been Green.....but the more I:beer .....the more I think it was him :hey....or maybe it was Tyson either way Libs should win :drink...go the dragons in 2009 :soccerred.....Ive lost track of the website I am on........NRL.....ESB.....alcoholics anomalous......nerver mind :stir:partytime...........just for the record I dont do :rasta:spliff:cannabis....however I do :drink:beer:piss:pukke....a bit more than I should :hi:

Green's career was always much more interesting and enjoyable to watch when Mundine didn't play on his mind.
Although I still maintain that he's always targeted the weakest champs available, it's still a heap better than just fighting nobodies, and it could have led him to bigger things.
Unfortunately he's been sucked into Mundine's abyss of stink.
Anyone know what fighters are on the undercard?

Danny Green, take notice of this man here...
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
Yesterdays game was his first since September last season, he played out of position, down on match practice, and just 5 hours prior to kick off he learnt of his grand mothers passing away (whom he was very close to).
Instead of bitching and moaning or writing a 3 page article about the grief he experienced he just quietly donned a black arm band himself, and then turned in a man of the match performance for his club and won them the game.

He was our savior. Without him, we'd have lost no doubt.
He's a class player, and is needed for the whole 80 minutes.
If Taylor keeps persisting with having Sutton at 5/8 and Wing on the bench, then he needs to have a long hard look at himself.
