A light-heavyweight bout between UFC hall-of-famer Mark Coleman (15-9 MMA, 6-4 UFC) and "The Ultimate Fighter 1" runner-up Stephan Bonnar (11-5 MMA, 5-4 UFC) could take place at July's UFC 100 event.

However, a source close to Coleman today told MMAjunkie.com ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) bout agreements have not been signed and the 44-year-old fighter "didn't hear about the fight until this morning."

UFC 100 takes place July 11 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center and is quickly becoming the can't-miss event of 2009.

UFC 100 is scheduled to feature two title bouts: UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar vs. interim heavyweight title-holder Frank Mir (in a title-unification bout) and UFC welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre vs. top contender Thiago Alves. Additionally, "The Ultimate Fighter 9" coaches Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson are also slated to fight at the event.

Just call it a day Mark.. I mean 205? Geez...

I hate to admit this...but I actually find this fight intriguing.

What else is on the docket for UFC 100? This better be one hell of a card.

He looked ripped.Very lean..

Other then looking gaunt in the face he looked in tip top shape..Just unfortunately his body is used to having 5-10plus kgs of extra bulk on it..

If he is that bad, then it's bad sign for the fan of Shogun

Just call it a day Mark

I agree. I mean what is he now, mid 40's? His W/L record must be squaring up and his last decent win was years ago against Frey.
When does it end?

When does it end?The last time i saw Coleman look good was at the 2000 GP when he beat up Igor Vonchancyn. If that was in the UFC though Coleman would have been KO`ed thats real.

It's bizarre seeing Coleman at 205 considering there was a time when he represented the "big man" in MMA.

The ruleset in PRIDE favored his limited style more. In the ocatagon because he has never evolved has zero submmisions zero standup and always defaults to the single leg when hurt he's as good as useless. He's also 44. Its the wrong time for Mark to be in this sport. The only reason why he's at 205 is because he cant take hormones.

:huh

He can fight for 30 seconds. He is 44. Letting him fight in the UFC will only encourage this Cinderalla Man stuff. If Coleman was a dog I'd have him put down.

That was disturbing IMO them poor girls where horrified. It was fucking idiotic. I like like Frank Trigg but he's comments about PRIDE being an event you could bring your family too were stupid. Coleman simply got beat up. He's kids saw that. Then the guy starts cursing on the mike whilst the PCP slowly wears off. Not a good look.. :blood

That might have been a funny reality show.

Hammer House.....

Starring the Coleman Family, Kevin Randleman...Coleman and Randleman train during the day with wrestling and more wrestling with a little bit of GNP and for some live action they go out clubbing looking for fights......

Read on Tatame that Paulo Thiago will most likely be fighting Jon Fitch on this card.

:think Bet he'll be looking to KO another top WW contender. But I doubt Fitch will get dragged into not fighting his fight.

Jon Fitch is an intelligent fighter. He didnt try to outstrike Alves ! He will beat quite easily Thiago.

This might be Coleman's last fight for sure, he was lucky Shogun was gassed almost as badly as he was and that prolonged the fight but Bonnar usually comes in great shape so he should be able to wear down the Ole boy.

Another potential fight which is being discussed for this card is Jon Jones vs Jake O'Brian.

Scur, why do you show so much hate every time that you talk about Coleman? I am honestly starting to think that you have a homo-erotic crush on him and this is your way of combating those feelings.

Not only is he a legend in MMA, but he is also a great person. You really need to get off the "PCP" talk and shit, the man is just intense. If you ever met him personally, you would understand that is just the way that he is when competing. Whether it be in the practice room, on a wrestling mat, ring, or cage.

Coleman is a legend but you have to admit Hammerhouse are a bunch of jokers. Bias or not Coleman has been on a ton of drugs throughout he's whole career. He's never been the most rounded fighter and now at the grand old age of 44 he drops to 205!?!?! Are you kidding me? He looks like a sack of shit and fights the same way. Coleman can be as intense as he likes but he's never once been a thinking fighter. Randlemans exactly the same. Matter of act Baroni and Wes Sim were the same. All meatheads on steroids that just lifted took gear and wrestled and that was it.

Wes Sims was actually a basketball player, not a wrestler. Randleman and Coleman were both great wrestlers. However, I can assure you that they do cross train.

I mentioned the guys who fight out of Hammerhouse most of whom are wrestlers incidentally. Sims fights out of Hammerhouse. He too is also a meathead. Remember what he did to Frank Mir?
