just seen the clip of the weigh in on skysports news

this is exactly what khan said and if my memory is correct he said something similar after the prescott weigh in,

i also noticed he was very nervous and talking extremely fast, barrera is cool as a cucumber and way more relaxed if khan is using up too much energy before this fight barrera i going to be so much stronger in the latter rounds, the countdown is on at half 6 so we will find out more then

also rumours of khan being booed than might of contributed to his anxious interview

Taller?

As for the nerves, one scenario I see playing out is him desperately trying to survive 12 rounds, effectively running. Given that his strengths are based around a quite varied and very speedy offence, this would be a disaster

Khan is a young lad who hasnt yet learnt how to control his nerves. Look at him walking to the ring in a lot of his fights and his eyes are all of the show looking at the crowd the ring the lights - he looks agitated in his movements and face.
Lacy looked the same b4 Calzaghe OK he had a big snarl on his face which some took as him being confident but he was pacing back and forth in the ring using far too much energy - he was as nervous as hell.
Khan could let the nerves get to him but hopefully not he knows what he has to do - if he does well it could tell us alot about him

Taller?

Was thinking that myself...
So you're 'Taller, bigger, leaner with a better physique'.
Lets see if you can put it to good use kid, thats the important factor.

I thought Khan looked quite composed to be honest.

And of course he was talking fast, he's ****stani, they all talk at a 100mph.

The reason we don't want Khan to do well is because we feel that we're taken for a ride by ******, with his PPV demands and hype for a guy who isn't really all that, etc., and because we feel Khan is getting to pluck Barrera just at the right time...we feel that this is somehow unfair, given the credit that he'll get, and given that he's not fought some of the very serious domestic and European challengers we wanted, along the way. We feel that he's had it all on a silver platter and getting a very comfy and easy ride to the top. We also hate the fact that he doesn't acknowledge that he is chinny. Fine!

BUT...there are good reasons to want Khan to do well - he always gives it his all, he comes to fight, he is very exciting in the ring, he has a big heart and he keeps on striving. IF he beats a Barrera that has still got a bit left, giving a very good performance in the process, why in hell should we NOT be pleased for him?:huh

On the other hand, if Barrera manages to pull off the upset, despite looking very much gone, of course we should be happy for him [Barrera]...

So...why not give Khan the benefit of the doubt and wait to see the performances that both men put in on the night, and only then decide how much we want to hate Khan, etc. ;)

...why not just hope for a cracking fight until then?:good

We hate the fact that he 'Doesn't acknowledge that he's chinny!!'?? :-(

What sort of self belief would that be to go into the ring with??

"I'll be fine Barry as long as I don't get hit right here, on this spot here.If that happens then i'll be doin' the Bambi fandango downwards. You see the thing is Bazza i'm a bit chinny hur hur, but don't tell anyone alright......"

He needs to take note of David Haye. Yes he is gobby but openly acknowledges he has a punch resistance problem because it is plainly obvious.

"Im taller, bigger, leaner and have a better physique"

Brilliant ! this is generally the case when you fight guys from lower weight classes

Go on Marco, one more glory night !

I'm gonna go pick on the old man next door to me , you see I'm taller , bigger , leaner and have a better physique !

Job done.

Assuming they were both nearer in age and size do you really reckon Khan would be able to " box his ears off " ?

just watched morales highlights and he looks taller than MAB but it didnt seem to make that much of a difference to that fight so i dont think height is going to be as much of a factor as everyone is saying. because if he can deal with Morales in his prime, im sure he can deal with khan

i cant wait to watch this fight tomorrow live :) just hope noone spoils it and boo's khan if he wins or loses either way he wont deserve it

It's irrelevant really, MAB's a battle worn fighter who wants to knock out Khan the ambitious young fighter, naturally Khan wants to knock out the highly successful and still up for it older warrior.

They both want it and both think they can do it.

Chad Dawson 26 is about to 'rematch' a 40 year old fighter Tarver previously fighting Glen 'Old man' Johnson.

They are both older than Barrera, does Bad Chad get hated for wanting to beat them just because they've been around the block a few times.

Absolutley true , but Dawson doesnt tower over Johnson and Tarver and an old Light Heavy is a much different proposition to an old Featherweight , sorry Lightweight

and you know that fine well ya cheeky little monkey !

Is anyone else happy that regardless of what happens Barerra will be earning one last good payday, (Depending on outcome might not even be his last). Guy deserves it, I don't believe he's earned the amount some other old legends on the circuit have, though I may be wrong in this assumption.

in boxing terms tarver is way younger than barrera, boxing terms dont always reflect on age pal, barrera has been in so many wars he is more like 55 than 35, his career spans way longer than tarvers and johnsons for that matter

barrera is ready for the taking

When you have a rather poor chin like Khan's clearly got, and journalists mention your chin, there's no good saying: "My chin is fine, there's no problem with my chin! It could have happened to anyone!, etc."

You need to do what Haye, for example, does: "Yeah, my chin is probably not the best, but I'm working hard on my defence and blah, blah, blah..."

...otherwise you sound like an idiot.:deal
