BILLY ‘THE KID’ THROWS TEAM BTK SUPPORT BEHIND VICTORIAN BUSHFIRE APPEAL



Fresh from his magnificent title-winning victory last Wednesday night, Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib wishes to announce and request support for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal through a fantastic promotion scheduled for March 27th, 2009 at the Blacktown RSL Club and conducted by Empire/BHS Promotions.



Billy will be boxing an ‘Exhibition Dream Bout’ against fellow IBF Pan-Pacific belt holder, training partner and great friend – Lenny ‘The Zappa’ Zappavigna over 3 x 3 minute rounds, with all monies raised going to the victims of the terrible bushfires which devastated Victoria, Australia.


Billy’s next official bout, following the exhibition is due for May 2nd and will be announced shortly.



Team BTK urge everyone – Supporters, Sponsors and the Media to help profile the event and get right behind this worthy cause.

Question for contendo. Do you just buy a ticket for the night or are you requesting donations? Also great to see a bit of community spirit from the boxing fraternity.

Its going to be great but wish it was 4 real.....get the thoughts its going to be a light workout.

Funny if zappa outclassed Dib over the 3 rounds......I think he can

How about fox sponsoring the event and putting it on air?....maybe all the stars need to talk with fox ASAP?......Good PPV $ I would think

I can tell you, the media have made promises to get behind the event but nothing has happened yet. If you know anyone in the media get them on board as this will not only help the victims of the fires but also raise awareness for Australian boxing.
