A professional boxer has appeared in court accused of assault.
Jamie Cox, aged 22, was arrested at the end of 2008 after an incident at a Swindon nightclub, but failed to report for police bail on Saturday.
The Commonwealth Boxing gold medal winner handed himself in to police on Wednesday afternoon and was kept in custody. He appeared before magistrates in Swindon on Thursday and was released on conditional bail until 16 April.

Seems a nice kid on telly ..... Hope the guy was a chav and he bust him up.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I'm a big fan of Jamie's and have high hopes for him. Hopefully this is an isolated incident in which he was a victim of circumstances and was somewhat "justified" in the assault.
I'm hoping it was just some pissed up dick-head who wanted a pop just because of Jamie's success.

It would be a shame to see him flush all his talent down the toilet if this is an indicator of things to come regarding Cox's lifestyle.
