Say what you want about British fighters, but Joe C knows how to make adjustments in fights and has way more big fight experience than Kessler. I just think it will take more than a stiff jab with those short arms to beat Calzaghe. Kessler mostly throws jabs and straights, with an occasional looping right. He also has a decent right uppercut. His foot speed is good enough, but his short arms make him have to get too close to Calzaghe. He will get countered. His youth will allow him to be competitive, but Calzaghe will ultimately win a decision, probably around 8-4 in rounds.

I've noticed his jabs don't have the same pop they used to and he was never really a power puncher to begin with. Though I give him the advantage in this fight, it will have its rough spots. Cal's got his work cut out for him, but his speed and exp should pull him through.

Kessler only has height advantage. They measure the same fingertip to fingertip.

Yes Cal's got the arm length of a black man stuck in a Welsh torso.

I didn't say Calzaghe's arms were long. I said that Kessler's are short. They both have 73" wingspan. Pretty short for 6 ft tall super middles. Jermain Taylor's is 76" I believe.

I agree. ..bad style matchup for Kessler. The jab and right hand aren't going to be enough.

Again your comparing their arm length to a black man (ignorant racial sterortype co-signed)

I'm comparing the arm's length of two 168 titlists to the champ's at 160 stupid.

There's no suggestion that Kessler can't change his gameplan either though. He's won all of his fights pretty comfortably without the need to change what he's doing. He'll certainly have to find something different against Calzaghe to win but in all honesty, Kessler is an unknown quantity until he's pushed by someone of the level of Joe.

We all know that Calzag can box and what happens when he's under pressure. We all know Kessl can box neatly on the front foot but don't know what he's like against a smart, fast & aggressive opponent.

Whichever way you look at this fight, it all depends on how good Kessler really is.

i dont usually post here much but i think peolpe are underestimating kessler hugely, althoug calz has proved he is a good fighter i think kessler will b a future top 5 p4p fighters in his fight against andrade he showd he can box and has a lot of ring genralship as well as physical strenghth and power, i would also question the level of oposition that calz has fought i dont think he has fought a fight of kessler level. thats no direspect to calz because he is undefeated and beat every1 put in front of him but im expecting big things from kessler in the future.... if i m wrong crdit to calzaghe...
