I only know of a few of his Amateur highlights but does anyone have any opinions on his future. I could read up on him some more but am interested to hear any opinons. Cheers Lads.

Just a little note. Tyson Fury claims to have knocked him down, nobody else remembers it. Price won the match. He looks in good shape to me, fighting a pro debut next week.

yea, he does look good. I'm waiting for the bandwaggon. I know he is well known at amateur but i see a future in him in the pros. Not sure if it's him or Fury using the other to raise their profiles though? Will be interesting.

Well to the casual viewer Price is much more well known than fury for getting a bronze in the olympics so I'd say fury is the one using price to make a name for himself...
Price seems a decent, level headed chap. Hope he does well in the pros!

Cheers for the opinion. I am warming to Tyson but that was my impression. They ae of similar build albeit rice carries it better. From lcal knowledge gypsies are double hard, but then scousers bave been know to mix it up a little eh! My thoughts are that they arent far apart and could build a legacy between them. Good luck to them both. Despite the carried weight Fury will have the better career imo.

I don't think Price will do much on the world scene but he could and should be a domestic force and perhaps at Euro level.
Very funny re Fury's claims he'd knocked him down in the ams (I think Price won something like 22-8).
"He's either got something wrong with is memory or he's stupid - actually, I think it's both." :yep

hes fighting 6 rounds from the start, and there wont be any bandwaggon because hes with hayemaker which means he will be brought along quickly, probably as quick as fury.

Pricey is a very well schooled heavyweight , who has power and the dimensions to move in the same avenues as the Klitschkos and Valuevs, tall and solid is the new big deal with Heavyweights nowadays.. But i dont expect Price to become a world name overnight, he will however make a great pro and enjoy a large following.. Fury's claims will only drum up interest in Davids career and aid his profile...

From what we have seen (and I suspect he will change slight) Pricey is a very good fighter when it comes to technique. Usually at that size co-ordination is embarassing. Pricey on the other hand might be able to cover up his chin rather well. He did it in the amateurs. Sure he had some really shaky moments but he still became Bronze champ. He lost to a guy who looked to have some real dynamite in his hands. Another good thign is Pricey has heart. Whenever he is hurt he trys to come back. Chin puts you down, heart picks you up.
I'll be watching and supporting Pricey. From the off, he looks a much better prospect than Fury. Let's see what happens.
hes got a fragile chin ,worst than khAN'S ...punch resistance terrible....been kod a few times in the Am's.some rough house brawler come journeyman will sparked him out ,being with haymaker don't think he will have a long apprenticeship before being tested.

yeah i agree. he is the perfect example of an amatuer fighter and that chin is gonna get tapped hard. he looked pretty suceptiable
a domestic fighter. he gets more money than in the ams with sponsership.
good on him tho. he wont go too far but i am behind him

People on boxrec who saw the Price/Fury fight said it was a slip and not a KD and that Fury is just mouthy and bitter.
Didn't Fury try to box for Ireland because they didn't let him go the Olympics over here? He also claimed it was because he was a traveller yet Saunders was picked.

I think he'll shock a few people at how well he adjusts to the Pros. I honestly think he has the potential to be World level someday. He's alot more gifted than some top heavies out there at the moment in my opinion.

im on the Price bandwagon. His style is pleasing on the eye. Most heavys his size are an eye saw to watch but hes different.Good handspeed, smooth variety and an accurate shot picker. If his chin holds up i dont see any reason for him not to reach the top.

Awful chin. Knocked down a lot of times in the amateur's and looked genuinely shaken. And that's with head guards and big gloves. Take that away and you'll see that the first time he gets caught big he's going to get starched.
