Guida isnt even a heavyweight. Lashley like Lesnar is a genetic freak but Guida is nothing more than a sacrifical lamb. Dam shame Shamrock got caught on steroids. That could have been real fun to watch..

You still need the right kind of genetics to get a massive physic with steroids.
I watched the Press conference with Roy Jones getting in between them, Bobby looked a little yellow to me, Jason looked a little jumpy, it looks like an interesting match up, I don't mind these WWF converts to MMA now, I'm just wondering which other sports could MMA get people in from?

Lashley and Lesnar had real wrestling backgrounds and very good ones at that, besides combat sports I don't believe an MMA fighter has just transfered from another sport.:blood

Ken is to old and punchy to fight at the top level, his Franklin fight showed how over the hill and down the other side he was, I know he is still a great fighter but his era is over.
I have never seen this Bobby guy do anything so I have no reference for his abilities, the only thing I can see is his physic which is massive, it looks like he could bench 800 pounds and squat 1000 lbs on one leg whilst taking a shit, there is nobody in the UFC with his build.

Lesnar is damn near close.
Lashley is hanging in the balance for me. I like that he isn't just given a title shot, he is working for it. I think Guida is a suitable challenge for him. Considering it is his second fight, and Jason Guida has a little over 35. Lashley has great wrestling and is physicaly impossing but Guida has so much experience on him. I think this one is a pretty even match.
I have not seen too many interviews with him but I hope he isn't a douche.

Id prefer if he's geriatric old ass would stay retired. I would have had no problem watching this in Japan. It would have lasted less than a minute.

Bobby Lashley was an All American Amateur Wrestler as well as a Sergant in the United States Army and won his weight class as military amateur wrestler. He is a GREAT wrestler and needs to concentrate on his stand-up skills. He is physically strong aswell.

Lashley has promise, but everyone knows he's just jumping on the Lesnar bandwagon since Brock won the UFC HW title.

Bingo.
He wrestled at 177.
He would get destroyed against Lesnar; if anything Lashley just provides a background comparison to show how good Lesnar is, what a completely different level of athlete he is.
Lesnar was an NCAA division 1 champion and is a true heavyweight; Lashley was an NAIA, which is the smallest level of 4 year scools, 60 pounds lighter, and still looks like he is moving underwater compared to Lesnar.

American ideal of a super athlete, NFL player Johnnie Morton, against a stand up comedian.

That stand up comedian had years of experience in martial arts. Morton was just a meathead on Nandrolone.

Thats the point.
It's not a matter of really good "athletes" coming into MMA and winning early, its a matter of really good wrestlers and other combat sports competitors.
