Think has to be Jones going up to heavy to take on Ruiz, I mean why?

Because you touch yourself at night.

Ignoring the inbred above Jones went up to heavy to fight the possibly the worst titleholder ever, which is quite a title, and then dropped back to LHW.
Did nothing for his resume.

Think has to be Jones going up to heavy to take on Ruiz, I mean why? That fight wasn't pointless. It was historical because Roy started at middleweight. Of course I didn't feel like Ruiz was THE real heavyweight champ though. I'll never get my wish for every division to have only 1 belt. That would make boxing so much better!

Did Wlad hold a belt during that fight?

It was pointless for him to drop 20+ of muscle to fight Tarver.. Not winning a title at heavy. Everybody knew his intent was to draw in someone like Iron Mike for a big money fight; he planned to fight again at heavy but just made a horrible mistake in trying to maintain two division titles at once.

I think it was Floyd vs Gatti. I mean who really thought Gatti had a chance to win.

Yes it did, it gave him titles in 4 weight classes and allowed him the right to be called Heavyweight champion.

Inbred? That sounds a lot like Bigtime9's insults, I guess trolls think alike. :think
Right to be called heavyweight champion?
Really I thought Lennox Lewis was the man to beat.
Just about anyone bogus title or not would have been a better fight than ruiz!
and I could have accepted his choice of oppostion if it was simply a step up to better things at heavy, but he simply went back down in weight, thus pointless. That is apart from providing his huggers the exscuse of having to loose 20 pounds of muscle or whatever.

Any fight involving Ruiz is pointless. Except the Tua fight, of course. :yep

You really do not know much about boxing history to claim Ruiz the worst ever, there are far far worse:

Byrd - yep Ruiz did better against common opponents (except Tua  )
Damiani
Rahman - Ruiz beat him
Valuev - got a gift against Ruiz
Herbie Hide
Akiwande
Shannon Briggs
Bruce Seldon
Maskeev
Bonecrusher Smith
Tony Tubbs
Coetzee
Leon Spinks
Ernie Terrell
Willard
Carnera

How about more recently Bhop/Winky?

when this fight was first signed it sounded like a legacy fight ATG vs ATG, but now after its over it just seems both fighters stock has dropped considerably. We are still uncertain whos the current best lightheavyweight.

I dont know about most pointless, especially considering both were in many peoples p4p lists, but if you started a new thread titled 'most boring fight of all time' it would be right up there ;]

Are you mad that when you tried to argue with me about Jones I gave you a schooling about boxing? Trying to tell me he was in his prime against Tarver?

You're a retard if you think you gave me a schooling. I also never said Jones was in his prime. I said he wasn't "shot" yet.

I'd have to say Hopkins vs. Oscar. That was just pointless in my opinion. I knew Oscar had no chance and he was just denting his legacy by fighting at MW and Hopkins didn't really have anything left to prove. Those guys names sold that fight.

Douglas vs Holyfield. They should've called it off at the scales when they saw Douglas looking like Moby Dick!

Because it was a MW vs. a LHW. And yes, pretty pointless fight in the end.

I prefer the challenge of night-stroking. Doing it in the morning? That's like shooting fish in a barrell.
