Just watched the fight again after a few years. :-(

Felt sorry for the poor bastard.

He did but I still remember thinking it didn't look that bad from the start but watcing it again teh body shots were crucial and not alswasy seen, while duran obviously used many dirty tricks i mean just look at moore's face.
Funny thing I must have watched that fight 4 or 5 times, and have never noticed the supposed thumb in the eye:huh

One of the things that stick in my mind is how cocky Moore came out in the first round. He had this shit eating grin on his face when the fight started. Needless to say it didn't take long for than grin to disappear.

It ruined Davey Moore. I thought the ref should have stepped in sooner because Davey was taking a brutal, merciless beating

Unfortunately, he never got it together after that.He was a talented fighter.

Funny thing I must have watched that fight 4 or 5 times, and have never noticed the supposed thumb in the eye:huhthe thumb is at the end of the first when duran jabs to the left (which exposes his thumb) and moore reaction is to wipe his eye and blink..might of been a useful accident. becuase after a few round duran was in full control actually beatin him up should of been stopped by the corner disgraceful.i wouldnt blame the ref becuase davey was getting up and still moving but he was a beaten man by then

Moore and Curry would've been a great pro fight had they met.I'm sure Moore had a good shot of beating Donald.
