Hey, The names Jordan and like most people i aint had an easy life.
Growing up as the youngest out of 4 children and my parents split when i was 4 forcing my dad into the nut house for a few years because my mother was cheating on him with an older man who abused me and my brothers as kids.
I was a small kid for my age and still am really but when i was a kid, naturally i was targerted by bullies who would constantly abuse me calling me names and beating the shit outta me when they saw fit until one day i fought back and bust the nose of my Bully. He left me alone after that and anyone else who tried the same got a taste of their own medicine.
When i was 14 i finally had enough of my mothers partner abusing me and fought back leading to me being kicked out of house and home and having to change schools away from my friends and live with my father who although a nice guy has anger problems and war hard to live with.
2 years later, I had lost contact with a lot of my friends and in my new school although i made a few friends and played football during break hours i always felt left out and alone and constantly skipped school due to sleeping problems and the fact i hated the place. I got involved with drugs and at one point i even attempted suicide by overdosing on pills.
After a fight with my father i was again kicked out of house and home and slept on the street for some nights until i finally moved into my aunts where i finally felt at home. I had recently started college but the only catch was i had to travel 90 miles to newtown from my home in swansea and stay in a B+B during the week and travel home on the weekend.
So, a fresh start i settled in slowly and joined the local Boxing club which since going i have lost about 1.5 stone taking me down to 11st from 12.5 and the support from my new friends in the club amd my trainer has given me the confidence i need.
Things are looking up and im enjoying my course in art and design and have made a large group of friends up here and my sleepless nights are fading slowly and hopefully if i get a good grade i will be able to come back next year to the place i love and in the meantime its nice to know i have family who care for me.
Thank you for reading this as it is part of my therapy to write this to help get over my troubled past and to help me sleep without the aid of medication or alchohol. Its the love of fighting i had since i was a little boy thats now urged me to start and help me forget the bad things that have happened in my life.

......we aint got weights at my gym but we got these weighted balls that we use when we do sit ups and stuff. Still tho i thought id write a piece on myself seeming as id rather do that on how boxing has helped my life than writing letters to my parents.....Docs nowadays are wierd

You have done well my apprentice. It is good to let it out. Now, embrace the weightlifting, feel the iron flow through you.
On a serious note, there are others like you who have gone through some rough times and that's why we fight. You're in good company mate.

Exactly like. I wouldnt say its inspirational but uhhh lets see how my first fight goes and well see where i go from there. Had to skip boxing wednesday this week cos i had course work up to my ears but when i go back monday its back to the hard work and cos my next project is on time im gonna do it on boxing which gives me excuse to go the gym more to take photos and go to boxing fights lol.
and RDJ i have cowboyed the fuck up or whatever that means. I wrote this cos things in my life are getting better and rather writing letters to my parents which is a waste of time i decided to share it on here.

Your mind is the greatest thing in the world.
There's a will theres a way my friend, if you want to succeed in boxing you gotta be honest to yourself, no shortcuts.
I wish you the best of luck, and I am sure you're going to do well :good

Well that's great and despite being completely off topic in the training section I won't move it to the Lounge because they would be even more blunt than me. I know people that had it a 100 times worse than you from what I gather mate. So what, you lived with your mother, then your father, and lastly your aunt. Boo fucking hoo. You're only 17 years old, things may get a lot worse in the future.
Not many have it easy in life mate, but it could be much much worse.

Red Dragon,
RDJ means that in the best way, tough love is sometimes the best way to go. RDJ is someone to aspire and look up to in terms of those who really have it bad and overcome regardless.
But then, he is Dutch ;)

I'm in no way an example on that, trust me.

You've made the right choices so far despite what has happened. Cant say there's anything more to aim for than world class. Keep doing what you gotta do like you've got nothing to lose. You'll get there.

It's not his fault that your crying out for attention and sympathy.

If you think that's a hard time consider yourself lucky that someone told you to cowboy the fuck up, because one of these days something actually bad may happen. Your contributions so far have been this whiny sob story, and a few posts on how much of a tough guy you are.
Also, as I have told you before, I will reply whenever and wherever I please. If you can't deal with that you should not post your personal details on the internet.
I'm truly reconsidering moving this to the lounge, it's been proven a shit thread so far.

I guess Boxing in the ring and posting on an open forum have something in common after all.......if you drop your guard even for just a second..... someones always going to take advantage of the moment:hey
You are young and have years ahead of you.How it all turns out from this moment on is all down to you now.
Talking face to face with a friend is a far better way of going about dealing with "junk in the trunk" if you know what im saying. Otherwise you better have thick skin to handle what comes your way.:think
So remember to keep your guard up at all times young fella!!. All the very best in your travels in and out of the ring. :bbb

If what I said offends you, people in the Lounge would tear you several new assholes in places where assholes are not esthetically pleasing. And for the third and last time, I post wherever I fucking please. This is not a place where only nice posts are allowed, while this is not the Lounge we're still at ESB. If you can't stand criticism, get the fuck out.
also ive never made myself out to be a tough guy, Im just not a whiny little pussy who cuts corners and makes excuses.
Yet there's this thread, on how fucking hard it's been on you. Cry me a river mate. And in the other threads about how your defense is simply taking punches and how you like it that way, or how you should toughen gym noobs up by putting them in with hard hitters, or how you're a light welter sparring heavy weights that go hard on you.
If you think that's a hard time consider yourself lucky that someone told you to cowboy the fuck up, because one of these days something actually bad may happen. Your contributions so far have been this whiny sob story, and a few posts on how much of a tough guy you are.

I should have because it's 100% off topic, but I didn't for the reason you mentioned, it would make me look like an asshole. Being a moderator has shit to do with it, it's a whiny sob story. But if you want to cry along go ahead.
