Prime Gomez vs Ricky Burns

Sorry if this been covered in the other burns gomez threads but just wanted to get an opinion of 1 thing.

Sky sports commentators kept going on about how Gomez wasn't the fighter he was X years ago.

How do you feel tonights Ricky Burns would have got on against Gomez on his best day?

Ricky still take it or Gomez have too much for him?

Agree with all of the above. No way Burns could live with a Prime Gomez.

Having said that though, Burns is a good fighter and I would like to see him go far - he certainly has the talent.

A prime Gomez against Burns would have been a total mismatch, Gomez would have sent him to sleep in which ever round he felt like doing it in, he would have had far far to much artillery for burns, and would have just walked through anything that burns could have chucked at him.

Gomez by Knockout for me, and a very severe one at that...

I think you're all being a bit harsh on Burns. i don't think Ricky is at his peak yet either so would a Prime Gomez beat Ricky at Burn's peak in a couple of years?
