Can anyone tell about Gulyakevic, what's his boxing style, weaknesses, strengths, etc

Good stamina,hight workrate,has pop in his fists, very unorthodox style,throws punches from incredibly weird angles,
akward fighter,mentally tough warrior,long arms,knows how to rough up an opponent,fast,very decent jab and snappy uppercuts
Leaky defence at times,tends to duke it out,not the most tactical fighter out there,his emotions take command over his game plan and strategy at times,tit for tat fighter,can be drawn into deep water by a smart opponent,his chin is an open target at times

Tajbert was a German amateur star who showed a performance against Gulyakevich.Nevertheless,he lost a close fight to the Byelorussian fighter who outtoughed him.
Tajbert was the better boxer,but Sergej was the tougher and more cagey one.

I think Guyakevic was scheduled to be fighting an Irish kid, I think thats how this thread came about. It seems to be off now.
Personally I would say the Belarussian would have had far too much for such an inexperienced foe.

Sergey Gulyakevich is a wonderful all-around fighter who is better than his record suggests. He wasn't in his tip-top shape against Alex Arthur but other than that he is strong. It's a shame Humberto Soto is fighting that undeserving Canadian guy instead of really strong boxer.

Ya Eddie Hyland, and Gulyakevich would of been way too good for him.
I believe there was a bereavement in the Hyland family which is why the fight is off.

Gulyakevich would probably give hell to Soto.Whats more he really deserves a shot at a world title.
A true shame that such an undeserving and totally unknown fighter like Boinett or whatever his name is will challenge Soto instead!!!

Very brutal ko victory for Gulyakevich. His style is very unorthodox and difficult to figure out for any opponent out there.
I should have taped his encounter with Tajbert!:twisted:
Excellent fight and great fun to watch it was!

I guess that's why he beat Tajbert.
I have been searching fot this fight but without succes:-(

seen his fight against Alex Arthur the guy seemed mental put the head into him a couple of times seemed as if he was a rabbit caught in the headlights

I am getting lazier and lazier. I used to tape most of the promising fights,but nowadays I only now and then tape one outstandingly promising one.
Tajbert vs Gulyakevich was a very entertaining fight between two highly skilled pro fighters.A true pleasure for our eyes.No knockdowns,but boxing at its best.

According to 15rounds.com Gulyakevich will face Humberto Gutierrez 25-1-1(19) for the WBC title. Soto will vacate and move up to Lightweight.

Gulyakevich will be a worthy world champ fighting under the banner of the Belarussian flag!
Lyakhovich is a very decent heavy,but just not good enough to capture a world title and defend it several times.
Hight time for a Belarussian boxer to make as much noise as Belarus's proud son Arlovski has made in the martial art circus over there in the states :good

Gulyakevich lost a majority decision to Gutierrez.

Belarus sure does have a strong fighting heritage, great to see some smaller weight guys make some noise. I also loved the fight between Liakhovich and Brewster. Too bad Sergei couldn't string together some more victories. I think that fight took alot out of both men. Anyway it was the HW fight of the decade IMO. Long live Belarus - down with Lukashenko!

Well, Belarus flag is not carried by a lot of recognisable names in the pro circus.
Gulyakevich,Isaev,Romanov,Lyakhovich,and............
To be honest pro boxing is not really popular on Belarussian soil unlike kickboxing.
Belarus is a dwarf among powerful countries on our tiny globe,but a superpower in kickboxing and muay thai .
Neither Belarus' big brother Russia nor the mighty USA can hold a candle to Belarus in terms of success in kickboxing and muay thai.
