That can't be right. How can they not show this fight on UK TV?

How do you mean? not on any British channel?? I can't see them allowing that, possibly early negotiations not going well.

I heard they are still bidding for it here. I'm near sure that setanta have it with all the coverage they are giving it, but its hard to tell as they do it with most fights.

would be fairly unbelieveable if this didn't get shown.

setanta or sky should end up snapping it up.

yea, it's got to be early negotiations. I think the story might come from ITV not buying, they are making serious cut backs from near top to bottom. After Pascal they have probably been asked if they are showing this latest fight.

it was only a couple of days before the fight that setanta done a deal for jennings v cotto so i reckon they will still get this

For me, it's ridiculous that ITV spend all that time building Froch up only to jump ship when he gets his biggest fight by far.

time of fight and money for fight must be out of ITV's budget for boxing, they prob never expected froch to get this far

they might have some sort of contract similar to ******s for jennings and if setanta want this they might have to fork out some bills to ITV

Aren't Setanta and ITV closely related in some way?

As far as I was aware Hennesey has a deal with ITV to show Froch's fights. I'll be very surprised if this isn't on ITV.

This is actually impossible, theres no way the fight is not on in UK. If it isn't I will cut my own penis off and feed it to a German cannibal, live on webcam. It will go to ITV I think, he has been promoting it alot on there.

It's a cracking fucking card, Fury, Forrest, Green then Froch vs Taylor.

As a non-Sky subscriber I will literally weep if they snap this up.

sky owe it to boxing fans to show this on sky sports.

Yeah Sky should wipe the cob webs off their brain cells and surprise us all by getting the fight.

They do this stuff well when they get the rights and considering they paid bucks for Taylor's snorefests against Ouma and Spinks, they can at least get this one.

Actually, having said that, it's probably their previous experiences with Taylor that have lessened chances of them getting the fight. Big let downs for the most part.

I'm hearing alot more reports that this fight is not happening on British TV. Please someone put me out of my misery!!!!!!

I see Froch-Taylor being something like Pavlik-Hopkins.

As for TV, hope its on ITV, or I won't be watching it live.

Carnage

No way going to be a Hopkins Pavlik. Froch is a better fighter than Pavlik and if you don't like that then you can always say that Taylor isn't in the same class as Hopkins.
But I just hope this is on TV in UK, supposedly, so far, it actually isn't.

I would not worry at all. Froch is probably in the top 5-6 most popular british fighters at the moment after his exploits on ITV and would be crazy for no one to pick it up over here.

Setanta did it in the past with the Haye-Mormeck and Jennings-Cotto fights and they would not miss this fight if no one else were to get the fight.

pavlik or kessler would imo comfortably beat froch and it depends which taylor turns up as to who will win this one

Im sure setanta or itv will sort something out for this. Does Froch not have a contract with Itv sport?

I'm sure they will, just people telling me that it won't be on British TV, but I'm sure it will.

If it goes the distance, I have no doubt Taylor will win.

Interesting piece in the paper yesterday where Froch commented on this also plus opinion on Calzaghe.

Ridiculous to think that this isn't in the schedules yet, but there have been other big fights overseas not picked up until the last minute. If I remember right the Haye v Mormeck fight wasn't advertised for more than a day or two before it happened.

It's got to be on ITV delayed at least, surely....

Take by Saturday's broadcast that a team-up may be in the works.

Setanta are probably playing the waiting game to drive the price down.
