Packed the house against Judah, thats fo' sho'.
Although you could attribute alot of that to Judah's Brooklyn homies.
Cotto - Torres, Klit - Peter card was pretty much sold out, I was there.

That's what happens when you're constantly fighting setups. The house was packed against Judah, as will be the case against Mosely. People want to see fighters they know.

Expect Mosley - Cotto to sell out within the month.

He's not very vocal, and his competition level is questionable, even if he was American he wouldn't b much more popular. A win over Mosely will definately boost his status though.

Bob Arum doesn't want him fighting in Las Vegas. That hurts his marketability... You know Floyd ain't gonna fight him anywhere else... I believe he has to make his next defense at Las Vegas. :bbb

Nope, the house was all Cotto. Trust me I was there and going for Zab, it was me and about 500 other guys in the arena.

If he beats mosley decisive, which i expect, he can sellout yankee stadium in may if he's fighting oscar. Maybe against hatton, with 20.000 brits flying over, it will be pretty filled up too.

The guy is not as popular now as in the time he fought abdullaev . . . so he probably improve his gate salemanship.

GO tell him that in person!:vonnecunt
only in Puerto Rico....
Not entirely true before...
I went to see his fight against Otkay Urkal in Puerto Rico(I happened to be there during that week). There were a sh*t load of empty seats but the people that were there were showing their love for Cotto..

I was at that one and over hald the place was empty. In PR he sells out almost instantly. I was in the island when he fought Pinto and I couldn't get tickets cause it was sold out.
I expect that now he will be selling out just about anwhere he fights.

Puerto Ricans have too much culture and too much Pride to be called "American" the truth is the truth as far as property and shit but heh...like this guy said tell that to Cotto's face and you'll end up as another one of his patients receiving his famous Facial Makeover....

And when you guys say American do you mean Puerto Rican born in the USA (like DLH mexican born in USA)..
I think DLH definitely sells so much because 1. He draws in Mexico...2. Hes american so he draws America...3. He has a puerto rican wife and a Puerto Rican son...
God that mofuker played his cards right!!!!
PR loves boxing big time..I think its better that Cotto is Rican as far as PPV sales than American..Boxing isn't too big of a sport in America..

How would him being American help any? Because he would speak English? Please explain if you care to.
Exactly, there is a difference between trying to speak english and being american, is just a matter of connection plain and simple. it is obvious that common americans not boxing followers would be interested in one of their own winning,a lot more press coverage another great american champion on the rise.Imagine if Cotto was born and raised in the US AND had fought for the US at the Olympics the all american dream, one has to face reality I'm not criticizing the US that is just the way it is everywhere you always pay more attention to your own.And in this corner the undefeated all american and olympic champion Miguel the "Dream" Cotto.:rofl

So your saying fighting an olympic gold medalist and top prospect is a set up?
Are you going to try to tell me that Abdulaev is a good fighter? The same Abdulaev who, before facing Cotto, had all of 16 pro fights and lost to Emmanuel(not even Joshua) Clottey? I'm going to let you think about that. Just because a guy wins a gold medal doesn't mean he's a good pro fighter(don't even waste both our times arguing this point).

Being at the Judah fight was unbelievable. As cliche as this sounds....the atmosphere really was electric. It was nuts in the Garden. I am SO happy MSG landed the Mosley fight. His stock is going to go through the ROOF after beating Mosley.

depends on what country and city...if this country or city is an avid fan of boxing...then we can expect the fight will be sell out.

cotto's fights from now on will def. fill up all the seats, its just more of a fantastic and better atmosphere in ny since most of his fans are closely located there... I bet if this mosley fight took place in las vegas or l.a. they would have a great turnout, but the atmosphere wont be as loud and fun to be in compare to ny... and honestly most fighters dont sell out all seats with exception of DLH in the U.S.... why are we mixing goverment/politics with boxing, lets just keep it boxing:patsch

Cotto sells out big time now. We are talking 10,000 to 15,000. I think the Abdulaev fight was getting overshadowed by Tyson v McBride.
