View Full Version : Will Haye spar Price for the Klit fight?

Anyone able to shed any light on this? I would think Price would be the perfect sparring partner for Haye to have in the build up to the Kit fight. Big Price is a similar height and obviously has a good grasp of all the fundamentals to help Haye in his training. I can not think there would be too many better suited fighters for Haye to pick from for his task and the lad is close at hand for him plus Price would surely pick up a thing or two.
Agreed. Price would be good from a stylistic viewpoint. They mentioned on commentary he would be sparring Haye.
They just better not hit each other too hard.

It was aluded to on Saturday night that he would. I wish this fight would hurry up and get officially announced though. As Lewis said of the Holyfield fight, I won't believe it's happening until they've taken pictures together.

They will spar. Pricey offers good proportions. I hope he brings the power that makes Haye train smart and defensive, looking for counters. Shit sparring partners let you do what you want and that don't prepare you for a genuine ruck.

well it wasnt really pointless because they picked up 3 of the fights i was moaning about them not having, marquez vs diaz, chavez jnr and jennings vs cotto!!!

im wasnt saying that. those threads were for specific reason, setanta and buncey come on here and if they see we are asking for those fights they might just pick them up. theres no doubting that all the posts on here about JMM and Diaz helped us get those fights.
Setanta got let off big time regarding the Jennings affair, whether they showed the fight or not they still lied to us for a month, i wont mention it again.
i have been a bit anal on here recently and its mainly because i have been pissed of at the ESB posters that either ignored, did not back or magically changed there opinion on the WBU when i challenged Willie Limmond about fighting for it. Especially the PM that i got from one semi regular poster than could be described as overly threatening!

no its wasnt dunky. he was acutally the only poster that backed me up agaisnt limmond and his fanboys aka everyone on ESB brit forum. If he hasd not go involved i would of left.

One point I must take you up on, even though I may struggle to comprehend the answer, is the thing about Setanta being 'let off'. Do you know the ins and outs of that particular deal? If not I suggest you refrain from making pejorative remarks about them.

the facts that we know are for 1 month setanta were telling us they had the fight confirmed, when they did not. so they lied to us. whether ****** was not letting them show it or not is irrelevant. they should of said we are trying to get the fight but its not confirmed....i.e the truth?

Again, no real quarrels here but could they not be afforded the benefit of any doubt given that they're still a relatively young station? The contractual clause could have been an oversight or misunderstanding.

they might be a young station but the top brass are all going to be experienced guys. the fight was not initially confirmed so it wasn't a contact oversight.

I did not back you in the Limond argument Rob because I did not even know there was one. The WBU belt is a shit cop out on a career no matter who the boxer is. Fighters go for that belt because they do not think they can compete domestically the same way foghters go for the WBO belt because they know they can not compete against the celite in a division.
