A quote from Flint Island;

"In the shed behind my back garden there was a guy who trained there

and he wa a former pro

apparantly he was no good and had a record something like 1 win and 10 losses or something

and his nickname was "canvas" from always getting knocked down

when I trained over there when I was younger I wacthed a body builder in his 20's come down the gym

"Canvas" want to spar him

the body builder looked the part - rippling muscles etc - but he werent a boxer

after a while this body builder finally sparred with "Canvas"

they sparred either one round or two round

and "Canvas" had him crippled over on the floor with body shots

they called the spar off and the guy had tears welled up in his eyes

I dont think I seen him come to train at the gym again

"Canvas" was a bit of a gym bully to novices who he got in the ring with

he couldnt hack it as a pro but still even a shit pro like him was good enough to beat up quite qucikly a fit muscalur young man who was not a boxer"

So who is "Canvas"............im hearing rumours he is the guy that plated Chewbackka in the star wars films?

Who has he fought?

no-one of note

when Frank Bruno came down to Swansea in a nightclub he was head bouncer at the club and looked after Bruno down there

Like i said before he knew Bruno cos he has worked for Frank ******s sports network

Maka suggested I was lying and just made up a bullshit story

But i dont do things like that - this was a real person - and the sparring incident was real he had the body builder type bloke crippled over with body shots:deal and this was probaly years after he had fought as a pro but he still kept in shape down the gym, etc and he lives in a massive fuck off house about 2 miles from me

Even though Flint knows "Canvas" much better than I do, he didn't know it was a nickname back in the old days. I did some security work with a former pro and he told me all about Canvas's many trips to the canvas. This is the guy that told me all this:

ok then!!

what bullshit have I made up on here?

disagree with me all you like - but I'm not like Mexican Jew in the Lounge who would have you believe he is "super" at everything in life.

the story is true

Fat Joe knows who I mean.

The fighter in question was timekeeper at Calzaghe / Lacy I think and defentely at Maccarenelli V Bruce Scott

this is true story right

it was on front page of the Swansea Evening post before

"Canvas" lives on a big house with surrounding land and before the land around his house was slowly burning away by a volcano on his land !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

never heard of the guy

no wonder - he never even won a pro fight

tough game boxing - not everyone can win all the time

still bet he could bash up your average guy though
