I heard he switched trainers...I hope so. In the past Valuev would jab and throw straight rights..which was good because it allows him to use his size and reach, but with his tremendous strength and chin, he could have maulled opponnents up close. Also, he kept getting countered with CHageav's left counter. if his trainer had him move left after every jab this would not have happenned.

Holy shit! This is the best press photo for an athlete that I've ever seen! I'm surprised he would do this.. I remember him talking about how he doesn't like when people look at him as a giant/animal and he just wants to be looked at as a regular guy. God damn.. thank you for this great photo. Do you have any more?

Unfortunately, no. This one from shots of Valuev for "Maxim" magazine (for my fellow americans - Maxim in Europe is WAY more, how should I put it, interesting :) then pale USA edition)

Yes, he often saying that and I think his ability to do this kind of shots shows that he very sure of himself. Shows mentally strenght, if you know what I mean.

I credit Valuev for winning a world title. Most overly tall boxers are very open for shots, but he turned himself into a pretty decent boxer, and certainly far more than a sideshow attraction.
