Got my first cut in 12 years tonight...

Just thought i'd share it with you guys....Big headguard on, 16oz gloves.... Go for a let hook and my 80KG opponent shoves his rock head into thine eye.Wanted to carry on but the next thing my vision is impared. Blood is stinging my eyes and tears going down my face... immediately stopped obviously but I was suprised at how impeding it was.... Credit to fighters winning with bad cuts..... Stinging like a good en now... just been up to hospital and nurse said I avoided stiches..... What a twat I am.:patsch:lol:

To be honest I cut my index finger yesterday and today I got orange juice in it. Still I took it like a man. Very proud of that.

hot showers twice a day gets rid of conjuntivitus pretty quick I think plus pour goats milk into your infected eye. If it is both eyes infected then do them seperatly.

I think I got tendonitus on both ankles. Think I am fucked.

ive only had nicks in the ams under my eyes and a wee bit of swelling

infact last week i was involved in a clash of heads while sparring with out a head guard (which was dumb) i was with my trainer and we bashed heads and the top of my right eye was swoolen then this week on tuesday i got hit with a punch on the same eye and the bottom swelled up and came up with a plook and was agony

got cut once scrappin outside a pub in belfast. didnt notice at the time as i was worse for wear. woke up the next morning and the swelling had covered the cut so couldnt understand where all the blood came from and didint go to hospital.


now ive got a fat scar on my eyebrow which opens up the few times i spar and cos im suckin gas after 10 minutes so i drop my hands.good times

Just inflamation on the tendon near the ankle caused by rubbing of the shoes on the tendon or over training, quite a few things can cause it. Fucks you up for a short time but easily sorted I think. I am going to the GP later to see what he say's.

I have seen it a few times during my football coaching and usually something like the ibuprofen gel rubbed on it can sort it out. After that a cortisone injection can be used but I doubt it will come to that.

I've got tendonitis in both knees, and it's only after a few months of physio, rehab exercises and insoles to sort my alignment out that i'm getting anywhere near full fitness!

Yep. I know it can get really bad. Very painful too especially in the knees. Alignment is a fucker to sort out too. I had a very dodgy knee as a kid that stopped me from playing football. It was the reason I became a a coach. Never be quite the same and I still can not do running in training which is a fucker. I am hoping my right ankle is not fucked because due to my left knee I put extra pressure on there. I have been trying to treat it for awhile with ibuprofen but a GP apointment is definetly needed.

Lemon juice is the best thing for conjuctivitis. Try it.

Something similar to tennis elbow in my left, er, elbow years ago. Doctor suggested an operation could cure it, I decided to 'retire' instead. Still feel sometimes like I've got a load of gravel in there when I straighten my arm.
