Basically, lose more calories than you consume.

It also depends on how overweight you are. Losing 20lbs is easy if you are like 75lbs overweight.
Losing 5 lbs because you want washboard abs, but are not really overweight is quite the bitch.
Veggie / chicken soup is excellent for weight loss, been eating loads of it the past two weeks. Full of nutrients, but barely provides a calorie.

Energy levels will drop if you eat too little, both quality and quantity wise, so there is more to it than that.

I plan on starting boxing by june but i just wanna be in phys and mental strenght before i go. Should i lose another 15 pounds and then start gaining muscule?

if you want to get prepared for boxing don't jog 120 minutes. Run half an hour at a good pace so you're tired after it. Although it you want to just lose weight then do longer runs at a slower pace. How overweight are you?

I have had a big fuk up the last few days on the calorie side of things plus the amount of sugar I have taken in has been daft. Gotta get my mind back on track so thanks for the pep talk.

Lose it all. Don't worry about gaining or losing muscle, boxing will take care of muscular development.

Drink a lot of skim milk. Since you work out hard you need a lot of fluid replaced. So you can drink lots of skim (non-fat) milk. And that way you will get a lot of proteins. Proteins for building muscle or not losing any.

Well done on the weight loss so far Baldwin.
You are probably already working out on the skipping rope, but if not get onto it - so convenient and so good for the body. Also sit-ups with a heavy medicine ball at the end of your sessions do wonders.
Keep up the good work.
