Good.

That'll cut out 2 rounds of boredom.

Only joking. I haven't really been following Estrada's progress; does he have any kind of chance in this one?

TFFP
04-04-2009, 03:58 PM
The bookies don't seem to think so, and nobody really does on here. His problem is while he's fast he can't actually punch anything worth a shit, so how is he going to stop Povetkin marching him down?

He's basically a worse Eddie Chambers by the looks of it.

to save people typing like crazy between rounds ive done the first few rounds in advance

round one povetkin throws acouple of jabs and holds
round two abit of variation he holds more and jabs less
round three he just holds
round four hes already 1240 points in front on the scorecards and holds
and on and on and on and on

Nah, Povetkin's not like Wlad. His workrate for a heavyweight is phenomenal, throws 700+ a fight and is a pressure fighter. He's also got great stamina so he doesn't clinch a lot as well.

Sosnowski-Pianeta up now. I've not been impressed by Pianeta so let's see how he gets on here....

chrisfinch
04-04-2009, 05:20 PM
Sosnowski has a (fairly) good record so why on earth was he the late replacement to beat Danny Williams a few months back.

Surely when his opponent pulled out, he should have fought an Easter european bum instead of a handy easter european?

not a bad fight

ICTChris
04-04-2009, 05:27 PM
I'm undecided on the Eastern European fights. Sometimes the atmosphere suggests a lack of passion, sometimes it seems quite respectful.

Hopefully Sosnowski can liven things up a bit in this fight, first one was deadly dull.

I'm not scoring "properly", but in my head I'd say Sosnowski is a couple in front at least.

I'd agree with that but Pianeta's getting back into the fight now. Done well over the last few rounds.

chrisfinch

Definitely, I'm not sure how far behind I am on my stream, but Pianeta won round 8 impressively.

He's still got plenty of time to come back and win it.

Povetkin was out of shape but still won convincingly. Get busy, lose 5 pounds, be sharp, get the shots off quicker and build up peak fighting fitness.

Enough of these awkward little guys (Byrd, Chambers, Estrada). I actually think Alexander would be better against the bigger, slower men.

If Estrada had power, that right hand would have sparked Povetkin.

But he doesn't, and Povetkin wins it.
what's the point sayng that? if estrada was a puncher, then Povetkin would have trained for a puncher, would have been wary about taking right hands.
