Seriously Haye taking only the setanta money for this fight, fair play to the guy but win or loose Wlad is looking at 7 figures LOL
Enland lost to Portugal on penaltys at the stadium, is this a bad omen for Haye?
We've got a thread on this: [Only registered and activated users can see links]
He would have made 7 figures in his back yard. He's looking at 8.

Haye wil no doubt bring hundreds of fans.
He could bring the whole of Cyprus and not fill out half that stadium.
The stadium will be packed out with Germans yet the atmosphere will be shit. Imagine that many people at a boxing event in the UK!

hundreds
No one wanted to watch him back in his own town so I think he will be lucky to break a 1000 fans supporting him.

yeah, Haye's fans are usually ring girls or part time models. Only if he attracted the causual to the heavy hard boxing heads. LOL

If they promoted this properly they could do it as a "Ricky Hatton on the cheap"
get all the same atmosphere, booze, fun and big fight of a Rocky Hatton fight in Vegas but at a 5th of the cost. This is for the World Heavyweight title, I reckon Haye will get 1,000 going out.
you could do the trip for £250 no worries.

Is that right?
We're going over and cheaper the better. How long will that offer be on for, any idea?

Any news on the ticket prices? Ze Germans big sporting events can be really cheap, some football games are like £8. If the tickets are reasonable it could be cheper for me than a big event in London!
#Edit, tickets starting at 24 euros, Get in!

I had no plans of going but looking at prices like that and flights as cheap as they are I'll have to consider it now.

There should be about 70.000-65.000 tickets for this fight, probably at least 20.000 will be out at very popular prices, and another 20.000 at something moderate.
The location in Germany is great, if the undercard is nice and the brits do come for this fight it should be a packed house and a great athmosphere.

Wait till the very last minute on the tickets and get them for free when Haye has failed to sell his share.
is there going to be a ticket dealer dealing with uk sales lonly on behalf of Hayemaker promotions?

I've just booked my flights and accomodation.
I wonder how the UK ticket sales will work though. As Hayemaker only get a share of the setanta money, they have zero incentive to sell tickets.

Where did you book through? Im in edinburgh too, but i'm lazy, I need someone to walk me through what to book and where.:good
Capacity will be over 70,000, probably 75,000 as it is for the U2 concert there this year where the stage is a 360 degree set up so they don't block off one end and use the whole pitch. So will be similar for the boxing. Although in this economic climate even even a band that big haven't sold it out yet so will be interesting to see how fulll it is for the fight. If they do fill it for the boxing then it will be some sight - over 70,000 sat there bolt upright in in a deathly silence that the crucible in sheffield would be proud of!

Have spent some time out in that part of the world. If I remember the route I used was Luton to Dortmund, and Gelsenkirchen is not far from there. Its part of the Ruhr valley area which used to rely on heavy industries especially steel so is a down to earth working class kind of place from what i can remember. Passed by the stadium quite a lot but never went to a game or anything.

The 64,000/62,000 is the stand up, football, terracing figure.
I wonder what it will be for the boxing...
Farmboxer

It will be sold out like the other Klitschko fights. Would not sell well in America though.

I was talking about Vlad Vs. Haye.
When Vitali fought Kirk Johnson at MSG, New York, it was sold out in a big snow storm, Klitschkos sell tickets.

Got my flights out. 1p return flight haha (£14 tax tho :bart). This fight will cost me about £40 in total. £20 for the fight and £20 for the flight. Fuck staying in a hotel, the flight back home is at 6.40am on Sunday I'll just do an all nighter in DUSSELDORF WEEZE WHEREVER THE FUCK THAT IS! :happy
Oh, one thing I need to know though, the Germans are having the fight at a decent time aren't they? If it's a 4am one to suit America I'm stuck there lol. Didn't think the yanks would be too excited about the fight so gambled on the 6.40am flight back.

Have fun with cattle and farmers in Weeze (aka middle of nowhere, has nothing to do with Düsseldorf) and tell us how it was. ;)
The fight should be around 11 o'clock in the evening, we're never considerate of American TV in Germany.

Ahhhhh
Thats a usual Ryanair trick.
Calling an Airport Milan, Barcelona-Girona, Dusseldorf-Weeze etc..... when actually it is an airport many miles away in the middle of nowhere

:rofl
Although there is a pretty sweet rail bridge over the Sea between Copenhagen - Malmo
But this "Dusseldorf" Weeze airport looks to be about 40-50 miles away from Dusseldorf.
Also they call an airport Barcelona-Girona !! Girona is nowhere near Barcelona for heavens sake

Guys... I'm fucked. Ryanair have done me a gooden lol. There's no trains or buses back to this Weeze place after the fight time. So my 6.40am flight is in jeopardy! I thought Weeze would be like a town in Dusseldorf. It isn't apparently. Been on other forums and fans are having similar problems. 150 euros some are being quoted to get from the arena to Weeze. Looks like my trip isn't gonna cost £40 :bart
Are the Klit team really making it this hard for UK fans to just simply get to the fight and back on purpose? I know they like their fights to lack any sort of atmosphere what so ever but come on!
Really hoping Wlad gets KTFO now.

Unlucky Smudger..... I did warn ppl on this site, because I was going to book it until I realised were Weeze is.... because it's a usual Ryanair trick.
Maybe the Germans may get some coaches sorted out for the fight

You were not at the Sturm vs. Sylvester event - best atmosphere in years for a German boxing event.
Americans and Brits liked it very much...
Also, Sylvester vs. Castillejo had a superb atmosphere...
