Pipino in his prime a muderous puncher vs a Plaster of Paris free Margarito who wins? I say Pipino hits harder than Mosely, but cant box as well as Mosley, Margo however is easy to hit and a good hook from a prime Pipino may be all it takes? not sure? what do you guys think?

I think one has a death wish if he stands toe-to-toe with Pipino at 147. I think Margarito, being a good puncher himself, would make it interesting. But being that he's also easy to hit and would engage Cuevas, Margo would end up having to be carried from the ring. Nobody could punch like Pipino at 147. Except Hearns.

Margarito's whole style is absorbing shots and keep throwing back. He would be hard pressed to absorb shot after shot from Cuevas. I would have to say Cuevas stops Margo about the seventh.

its quite unfortunate cuevas couldnt have made more out of his career due to the era he was fighting in, i guess today he'd have his way with almost any 1 from 140-154

How well can Cuevas fight backing up? Because I'm imaging the nearly LHW Margarito is going to be backing Cuevas up.

Cueves would win this one easily. Margarito was a bit overrated with his win over Cotto. I think Cotto was good, but a little overrated also. Cueves had 10 title defenses. Overrating is a problem in boxing now. A guy wins a big fight and he is considered unbeatable. Then he is beaten and the pattern goes on and on. Boxing fans do not have the patience to wait until a guy is at the end of his career to properly judge his skills.

Yep, Margarito loves outbrawling and outlanding on smaller sluggers and yes would even take Cuevas's best shots and keep coming forward steamrolling.
Cuevas would have to fight at a very fast pace against a much bigger man and keep landing his money shots, he may be able to do it. Not sure on this 1

I think Margarito would get his face broken.

I've got no doubts Cuevas could stop him, but again Margarito is again a fucking borderline LHW. The mans a top shelf weight drainer.

The Cuevas-Leonard fight was to be made.....but SRL said he wasn't ready for it and it never happened.

I think that Cuevas would have decapitated Margarito, and this has nothing to do with Margarito's hand-wrapping controversy.

In the ABC telecast, you can see Leonard ringside shaking his head as Cuevas brutally dismantled Harold Volbretch.
