I thought this was a close fight, could have gone Hagler's way but not really too understandable to see why he lost it in Philyl as he was never in command of the fight.

The Vito fight was much worse than this imo.

I get so tired of people bitching about Hagler being robbed. I loved loved loved Hagler and root for him everytime I watch him but this fight could easily go either way. Certainly wasnt a robbery. The Antuofermo fight was a good draw in my opinion with Hagler gassing out in the end and he showed he didnt have the stomach for Vito by fouling his way to a win the rematch. As for Leonard: How do you give up the first four rounds of a twelve round fight and then claim of the next 8 you deserved at least seven???? Hagler lost to Leonard and it was his fault for fighting a stupid strategy. I wished he would have knocked Leonard out. He deserved to win for having to live in Leonards shadow for years but when he got the opportunity he blew it.

Nice post. I thought he beat Vito in the first fight but he had too much talent to have let that be a close fight. He came out orthodox against Leonard (God knows why) and lost the first 4 rounds. No way he won 7 out of the last 8.
