Not bad value actually.

Been to Germany once before, quite liked it but was expensive.... back in 2003.

Gonna be like £6 a beer :patsch

Wouldn't mind going but none of the lads would be up for it.

Still, I'm tempted. Costs nothing, I'm sure it would make a good weekend. Where is the best place to fly to?

I'm taking the missus. Best to fly to Dusseldorf then train to Gelsesomething.

Do a search on hotels.com or something as close-ish rooms will go soon I'd imagine. I snapped one up as soon as it was announced.

Nothing wrong with going on your own, you'll meet people there.
I went to Dunne/Cordoba on my own and had a great time. Going over to this one with Paddy as none of my friends want to go. "Can't afford it, Can't get time off" the usual excuse's well fuck that i aint gonna miss this.:D

Ringside tickets are 490 Euro and 650 Euro by the way and I'm waiting on news whether the tickets are avalible on a british site.

I've been to a few fights in my time. I personally can't see it working. Tickets are cheap though. Initially I thought they wanted to con the fans and make Wlad loads of money. The atmosphere should be amazing but I'm talking about actually being able to see everything. Maybe they'll put some huge screens up above the ring.

Queensbury Travel do a two night stop over, including 49E ticket and transfers (Heathrow to Dusseldorf) based on two sharing from £355..... Heathrow no good to me obviously and seems a bit steep if I am honest!

I will tune in from my sofa

I looked at Queensbury travel and looks like all the seats that have been reserved for the brits are in the corner of the stadium!

I am in the corner of the stadium for the Pacman vs Hatton fight but I have been to the MGM before and all the seats are good and the big screens are good. I am not sure the same will be the case for a 60,000 seater, as anyone who went to any of the fights at the millenium stadium or the Hatton fight in manchester will agree.

Someone said there will be a staggered release of tickets, is this true? If so when will the next tickets be availible?

Thanks

If you are on the floor you are too far away and if you are in the stands then you are at an angle but even further away. I've been as close as the third or fourth row and it is difficult. With boxing it is tough given that it is only 2 men in a ring.

I wish boxing would step up the game. Stadiums should consider the fans - O2 ain't bad. Massive screen. Huge entrances. Most boxing matches aren't worth going to when you can see em on TV. It's good to know the arenas like York Hall, O2, Wembley Arena etc Millenium Stadium is a no no.

Schalke always have their giant (biggest in all of Europe I've read) video cube above the pitch, K 2 will surely use that one for the RTL TV coverage of the fight.
