Would you buy the Froch fight (plus card) stream if it was £5 rather than £10?

I aint paying for it. OK, his last fight was a barnstormer but he doesnt just jump straight into PPV imo. Perhaps if they kept the stream site open for all of his next five fights or so including the undercards with a one off payment of 10-15 quid I'd be interested.

I already pay for Setanta (although its worth it considering what you get) and SKY (rip off merchants) and PPV is just taking the piss out of fans, especially as the beneficiaries are mostly already bloody millionaires and this is a credit crunch etc etc

The time for robbing the fans needs to come to an end or our already dying sport might come to a halt altogether :(

£10 for a stream is awful. Fact is, we should be having it free on one of the channels!

I'd pay £5 for TV but not a stream.

People on here wouldn't want to be arrested for breaking into a £5 note :-(

I won't even stream it for free.

Sitting on an uncomfy chair by my front door watching some pixelated jerky bollocks with tinny sound at 4am? Fuck that.

Not that I have a problem with PPV on tv (except the Khan-Prescott card), providing it's a decent quality match up with decent undercard, etc. However, as Hook above me commented, I wouldn't even stream it for free.
Unfortunately my computer's standards aren't as great as some and the quality/buffering gets on my nerves. So no, I wouldn't pay for it on internet stream.
Put on PPV on tv with a good quality card, or a double bill of action from the UK & US whatever then yes, but online no, not for me.

No, its mainly the fact that I could be staying up until 4am for a shit stream. Hennesy hasn't proven he can deliever a good quality yet.

I get my streams from people who HAVE proven to me in the past that they can get me decent quality streams, good enough to watch on my 37" TV....I'll stick with them.

No I wouldn't pay anything for a stream. They fucked up by not getting it on TV so why should we trust them to get this right?

You can almost guarantee that something will fuck up tbh

They should do a test cast to at least re-assure viewers, at least.

I can understand his frustration, he's won a legit world title the conventional way, is now defending against his number 1 contender away from home but can't get on UK TV.

Unfortuneatly he should be blaming Hennessy not the TV execs.

Personally I just can't see myself buying the stream as much as I might wish to. I just wish Hennessey would maybe take a lesser offer just to get Carl the television exposure.

Unless they try and build up his profile a bit then he'll never reap the financial rewards he thinks he deserves.

I'd never pay to watch it, always download the torrent the next morning.

I'm so well prepared for disaster I won't be whining.

I'll just switch it off within 20 mins of it starting rather than wait for it to stop constantly buffering or whatever. Then I'll download it somewhere the next day.

And, obviously, know never to buy another hennessey PPV again.

Nope. Unless it's on TV I'm just not going to bother watching it and download it in the morning.

I'm not paying for a stream. Hate the things anyway, they're so unreliable.

On the main page, the press release is taking about Green vs De Leon `whetting the appetite` for the main fight.

Sounds to me like no Fury, no Malignaggi and no Guinn.

Ok, maybe the last two are no great loss, but for a tenner it would've been nice to get some fights on.

Setanta would certainly have shown the undercard if they'd bought this.

you can never really watch the live streams, i wouldn't want to pay £10 for something i would find hard to watch.

I'm still holding out for Setanta to pull something out of the bag, just like they did with Haye v Mormeck.

That website does say it's there in case they can't get a T.V. deal, so I'm hoping there's still time for somebody to make the right decision.

Would you buy the Froch fight (plus card) stream if it was £5 rather than £10?

Thats a really good point. Wether it's a fiver or a tenner probably won't make much difference to people in the grand scheme of things. But it's that decision people might make on fight night about whether to say 'it's only a fiver so yeah fuck it' or 'i can't be bothered wasting a tenner on that'. Big problem in terms of total buys is people not wanting to pay to watch a fight and sit in front of a frigging laptop or something. It can be played through the telly and to be fair Froch's site has given advice on how to do it but it lost me!

Setanta is
a) Cheaper
b) Has better fights
c) dont do PPV (one subscription buys all)
d) provide a weekly boxing magazine programme
e) Acknowledge fighters from other networks

SKY charge 40 odd quid a month then an extra 15 quid for bullshit like Khan v Prescott whereas Setanta gave us Diaz v Marquez (FOTY contender) and Cotto v Marg and the upcoming Haye world HW title fights etc

holy shit, if thats the case that you dont even get the undercard for a £10 quid online stream (on full screen it will be not HQ and it should be) then that is fukin ridiculous

catch yourself on mr hennessey
