Hey I ain't about to disrespect the guy, genuinely sorry about what happened to him and all that....but gave blood and guts for US? He gave blood and guts for dollars, same as any other fighter, and he earnt plenty of dollars too, because he was damn good at it.

That ain't meaning any disrespect, loved the guy as a fighter. Happy birthday and RIP Diego.

Quick story........

I was in a B-Talk chat with Chico about 2 years ago.
I asked him if you could fight one fighter, in any era, who would it be?

He said Salvador Sanchez. I thought that was the coolest thing b/c Chico was one of my favorite living fighters and Chava is my favorite of all time.

When I woke up May 7, 2007 to see on ESPNNEWS that "Boxer Corrales Dies in Accident", that was the first thing that popped into my head.

Both warriors died young and in accidents that they could have avoided.

As we celebrate Chico's b-day, and recently Chava's date of death, lets remember how fragile life is and how lucky were are to in fact be alive.

Happy b-day and RIP Chico. God Bless your family.
