Hard to say on lindsay not seen much of him except the Matthews fight were he didn't show much of his abilities. He did show power which wasn't expected.

I seen alot more of Appleby thanks to Sky very good boxer with a decent shot on him.


The only name on lindsays record is Matthews which gets worse by the fight. While Appleby has Pickering and Simpson. The experience side would have to be with Appleby and he has been the full 12 twice.

I would say Appleby has got the edge on him in a close fight but every time i see the Matthews KO you have to wonder was it a one off or the start of something.

Appleby i think will take it but i hope Lindsay can pull it off

anyway,i know for a fact that paulhas spent a lot of time away in cyprus ,over there he has done a load of sparring;more than he done for his prev twofights i think.He has been sparring with lightweights and light welterweights to help him get used to any heavy hitting that lindsay may fight.and he has def a lot more ripped,and carrying more muscle.

The fans most definitely will sing Flower o Scotland at some point just the same as they do at any fight supporting a scottish fighter if thats enough to piss off opposite fans and make them want to start trouble I hope they are singled out, charged and banned from future events. ya that's true Hayemakers team were so caught up in the Klitschko fights that this promotion was seriously forgotten about and I suppose if Martin did have to sell tickets himself rather than them being sold the normal public route it can certainly lead to a higher % of the 'under class' being at the event.

Well, I must say Im pretty astounded as to the direction this thread has taken, with people even talking about me starting trouble by singing the scottish national anthem!!!

Appleby will win,but like ricky burns will need 2 switch trainers early in his career and go 2 the bossman billy nelson before his stamina catches him out in harder fights

I disagree that paul has a stamina problem in tough fights, his war with Simpson & the Pickering fight proved that Paul has the natural talent, toughness & fitness to do the distance. Its that early, invaluable training with Roach that has helped Paul so early in his career, if you ask me. If only chuckles had styed over there...

However, I think he needs a better trainer to take him to the 'next level' Burns style, & i would be delighted to see Billy Nelson get his hands on Appleby.
McGuire snr I have no faith in at all. Its Applebys natural talent thats got him where hes at just now, but the sooner he gets a better trainer the better. IMHO of course.
