I for one still see it as a pretty damn good title. Just a notch under WBO. What do you guys think?

Yes, this title definitely has some meaning to it.
But to me, what matters the most is not the title, but the quality of fighters involved in a fight. And yes, you can make some meaningful fights between two European fighters, regardless whether EBU title is at stake or not.

I think it has been belittled somewhat by some people.
Baysangurov blatantly avoiding Jamie Moore
and Carl Froch gave up on ever getting a shot on it.
Froch (like a lot of the Brits) wanted to go British Champ - Commonwealth - European then World. Couldnt get a shot and the EBU belt.

The same thing is was thinking.A notch below the major 4 ABC's.
I rate it highly. I'd prefer British fighters to win both the British and Euro belts before going for a World title. It's a stepping stone to world level.

The Euro title means a lot more now because the quality of Euro fighters is so much better now than in the past.

A lot - much better than the Commonwealth title, and at least on a par with the WBO.

It's a good platform to step up to world level.

its a nice belt to put on your CV if your trying to a world title shot, then again i think any belt is nice to have and looks good for the general public

Notice you wrote the "euro" title and not the EBU title and that's why this belt is respected. If you write the world title you can say "World title ???? Ring title ? WBC title ? Lineal title ? Another one ?"
No other euro belt can compete with the EBU title. The EBU-EU and EBU-EE titles are stupid ideas of course but the EBU title is still THE title to have in Europe. Some EBU title fights are in fact better than world title fights.
I like the traditional path : a national belt, the euro belt, a world title, unification.

For me the Commonwealth title is a drifter, occasionally it's a better belt to have than the BBBofC, and even the EBU. Generally though, you've got that part of the order right. You have the EBU-EU too high and the intercontinental titles of the main governing bodies (and the NABF) too low. In fact, you have the NABF far too low. It's at least equal to the European title, and most of it's belt holders are superior to that standard.

Euro fighters are getting more and more and more prestige as each day passes.

In certain divisions the belt is a very good attraction for a fighter to have and should lead to a real title shot such as light middle up but below that the belt is weak. When you look at the guys who own the lightweight, superbantam and jeez the god awful former champ Ian Napa you can see the belt is just another trinket.
I would rate it alongside the WBO belt which holds a little meaning but is still the pathetic retard brother of the other 3. Until the belt loses its bond with guys like ****** and Joe Calzaghe the organisation will be meaningless.
The Ring belt is owned by Goldenboy so should be valued below toilet paper that has been used by an Juan Krasniqui.

I would say it is a highly prestigious title especially with European boxing seemingly on the up. It could be argued that that the European title holds extra significance at the weight classes where Euro fighters hold the majority of the ABC belts.

I agree that it is prestigious.
But the champ defines the title.
And as the big European promoters prefer the (interim, regular) ABCs, the Euro title is almost worthless today.
Fights like (shot) Vidoz vs (FAT and shot) SSS certainly don't improve the title's prestige.
