IT was a very scary fight to watch from the 8th on, you could tell that the next flush punch by Cazeres was gonna end the fight. But the punch never came.

Cazeres complaining that you cant win a title fight by running. Actually Calderon ran for like 3 rounds and he did lose those rounds. If he didnt run he was getting knocked out from the 8th to the 10th.

wow, sounds like an interesting fight just from reading round by round on this board and others. I cant comment on the decision without seeing the fight, hopefully this fight gets shown on TV up here eventually. Big win for Calderon, he had held that minimumweight title for so long, I didnt know if he was ever gonna move up. Impressive win, its not too controversial, is it? There is no way you can see Cazares winning this fight, the max rounds I give him is 4. The judge that scored the fight 116-111 for Cazares must be a taxi driver from Mexico.

I had it 5-1 Calderon at this point.

Round 7 - Cazares was getting closer to Calderon, -actually- hitting him with a few clean shots. Cazares round.

Round 8 - Cazares finally gets the measurements down right and Calderon is knocked down when he gets hit and hangs on to Cazares's legs to not go down. Cazares round + knockdown.

Round 9 - Calderon runs for dear life. Cazares round.

Rounds 10+11 - Calderon is back. 10th was closer than the 11th but he got both rounds.

Round 12 - Cazares tries desperately for a knockdown and is the aggressor in this round, all Calderon can do is slip and dodge all round.

7-5 Calerdon (115-113) - knockdown = 114-113

Cases can be made the Calderon won all first six, Cazares won the 10th, and Calderon won the 12th.

Two notes

- Canvas was just in horrible condition. So many slips that you half expected them to go down every time they turned or Calderon was going around the ring (in the 2nd half of fight).
