El Feroz has given us many years of good fights and excitement, but his time is over.

He has had so many health problems and injuries, for years now. The violent beatings from Tito and Hoya have more than taken their toll, and who knows how much damage the juice did.

Then there was the Mosley rematch where he was blasted out by a welterweight......

He is a very young man age wise, but his ring age is somewhere around 75. He has looked AWFUL in his comeback, and I firmly believe Mayorga was going to KO Vargas brutally.

He should take his millions, and retire. He is already slurring some words, and I fear it only gets worse from here.

Vargas is finished.:deal

And has been for quite sometime. :-(

He's been a world champion and has given me so many great fights as a fan. I can't help but respect him and I can't help but worry about his health...retire Fernando!

It's all unfortunately true, but you forgot who he is fighting.

Mayorga is more finished, and had less skills to lose.

It's not like Vargas is fighting a legit contender, hes fighting a guy whos at least as finished as him, and a guy who was never as skilled as him.

Vargas should beat Mayorga comfortably, beyond that it is very had to see him troubling the elite in the division so retirement would be a wise move
