Slow and patient won't cut it against Pac if he gets jumped on. If Pac forces the pace early on expect Hatton to revert to the hugging him to death

he boxed ok but if you actually watch the fight and notice how many times he grabs and smothers urango is terrible, even jim watt commentating says how well hatton is doing by grabbing urango

There is no way in a million years that watching that salmon fight can give you any indication of whats what for Paqiauo.
The opposition is light years apart and there will be no time or patience when it comes to Pac.
Its going to come down to how much Floyd Snr has improved Rickys defence & then if in the later rounds he can make his size & strength count

No-one can improve Rickys defence, Hatton is what he is, a come forward dirty fighter.
Thats why I cant get my head around why they employed a bum trainer like Maywaether snr. This aint Rocky III, Graham has moulded Hatton into what he is, & its too late to break the mould.

What utter tripe, Floyd has already improved his defence so you are way off mark with your comment. You sound like a hater who knows fuck all which I know is not the case. What is it you have against Hatton?

He's Scottish and therefore has an irrational chip on his shoulder about any successful English fighter. To the extent of having to make up incidents (Hatton allegedly throwing a sombrero at a prone Alex Arthur after Gomez knocked him out) which have been proven not to have happened in order to justify the hating!

I'm Scottish as well TKO and you're obviously a mong.

Hopefully Hatton engages Pacman as SuperManny has never been hit by anyone who can punch at this weight. I expect Ricky to stop him, and the general forum to explode.

No, I'm a fairly intelligent chap actually. That wasn't meant to come out as a dig at you all or a generalisation, just a comment on what I know to be the case from previous experience of Dunky's posting history (for example, the above Sombrero claims and the rants about how Alex Arthur was robbed by those conspiring Englanders in a fight where even the man himself admitted Nicky Cook had beaten him fair and square).

:good

Sorry.

And Cook blootered Arthur. Almost too easily would be my only conspiracy type comment.

He's a tiresome, predictable, overly sentimental, immature nationalist who still seems to think of the English as the "Auld enemy". It's not Hatton's personality that Dunky dislikes but rather his nationality.

My favourite bit was "overly sentimental"

Its cos boxing is my favourite sport, so guilty as charged I do tend to get a wee bit emotional when posting.

Interesting to see only one poster giving me an argument about Hattons defence(or lack of it IMO) & even then it was seriously flawed. I mean, paulie Malignaggi? The guy was rubbish. I predicted a Hatton KO win here before the fight & once again was proven right.
However, in the first two rounds even Malignaggi was jabbing Hattons head off until he tired, & Hatton used his aggression & strength to wear down the Paulie.
For anyone to claim that fight as Hatton 'defensive mastery' are sadly deluding temselves.

Hatton huggers defence of Hattons defence is almost as bad as Hattons defence!

Its not my fault that team Hatton hired a mug to replace 'preacher man' so stop taking out your anger on me.

Malignaggi was the consensus #1 challenger and second ranked guy in the division. I predicted a Hatton stoppage due to styles and fair play to you if you did as well. However, this does not automatically mean the opponent was no good. Malignaggi has a fine jab and may have landed it a few times early while Hatton found his range, however, once he worked him out that was it, Hatton dominated. As for Paulie "tired", a young, fit fighter for whom the 12 round distance is almost second nature tired from the second round onwards? Struggle to believe that, especially when he was still pushing Cotto hard in the last 3 rounds.

Hatton is never going to be Willie Pep, however, he showed me improved patience and some semblance of lost head movement and thinking his way in with that fight. Mayweather snr will need to work on that from whole new angles to negate Pac's straight left which is his main weapon, however, he is no fool and will work on it you can guarantee that. Whether it is enough remains to be seen but still, ten days and I can't wait...
