Hayemaker is looking like a wank promoter so far with his awful fights. He should concentrate on his own career instead of playing games like this.

Hopefully the prospects move on. Glad to hear Wale fucked him off after being messed about with for so long.

funny thing is the card in belfast has sold out, which says more about martin lindsay than it does hayemaker.

they should thank their lucky stars for this dude, as belfast people know boxing and without him this card would have, in no uncertain terms have absolutely bombed.........no pun intended but no one would have gone. lucky for adam booth

its easy for him to put on a shit card cause he knows lindsay will sell most of the tickets anyway.there isnt much boxing in belfast anymore so a local lad fighting for a belt doesnt need support to sell

Dunno how you can say this, theyve put on some well matched fights all across their cards, unlike the usual maybe 1 or 2 well matched fights (or none in some recent ****** cases) and then just 4 round fillers.

You would think there would be more than 6 fights.

I don't think the card is that bad, though it is by no means up to their usual standard.

Woodhouse needs to get a move on though.... he has looked decent so far and ought to be pushed.

Nah they have not. They put on one or two ok fights then just the usual mismatches.

Imo they've put on harder fights involving theyre prospects than any of the other promoters have.

I prefer less fights of a longer duration.... and rather than just good fighters, I want to see good fights.

Nah they are doing the same as the rest of the promoters. Look at the fights on recent bills they actually came off and the 5 undercard fights which are a disgrace considering the good fighters involved. Hayemaker are all wind and piss.

Yep. Haymaker 8 should be over pretty quick.

George Groves original opponent dropped out I think.

I checked on Boxrec a few hours ago and he was fighting a guy with a 15 - 2 record.

I dont think its supposed to be a massive show, just a saturday night filler for Setanta. Ticket sales for the 2 big shows at the 02 and LEA were very poor and they would be better off starting with British title fights in smaller arenas.

Disappointed Price isnt on this card, They should try and get him out every month like hennesey has with Fury. Even if it is to knock over a punch bag.

He should've had Josh Wale and Micheal Maguire fight each other. I for one think promising prospects should fight each other early, a loss or a draw is not frowned upon in other countries so why here?

Anyways, after Rhodes pulled out against Small we thought the last card was ruined, but look at Doson-Quigley! What a fight and I think Lindsay vs Appleby promises a fantastic fight too, I honestly think it will be a draw.

And totally agree that Price should be fighting again, one thing Fury is doing right is fighting constantly, Price should look to fight at least five more times this year, even against punching bags.

Any experience is good experience, especially for a 25 year old who has been amateur as long as he has.

Decent fighers on but with awful opposition.

You can't ignore the magnitude of the Appleby-Lindsay fight though. It's a big domestic fight, and in Belfast it should be a terrific occasion.

The problem is they don't have a good main undercard fight, if they did the card would look quite good.

Hayemaker's problem is they don't have anyone in their stable able to fill that roll at the current point in time, and they're not willing to use 'outside' fighters much.

Haye himself is obviously too big for this and fighting Wlad.
Ryan Rhodes is a headliner for them aswell(as sept as main undercard fight for Haye) and he's only having a tune up against very modest opposition so he can't be it.

Tony Dodson would fit the role well, but he's coming off a stoppage loss in a main event for them recently.

Martin Lindsay would of fit the role perfectly but he's fighting the main event and should he win he'll be stepping up that level to being a headliner himself.

Woodhouse, Groves and Maguire aren't experienced enough, one of the reason Groves will probably be matched tough early is so they have someone to fullfill this role. Price has had just one fight.

John Watson had a tough fight too recently, Derry Matthews got stopped recently, and Craig Watson lost a 12 round fight very recently. They just had no one in their stable that could do it, hence we're left with a weeker bill. Getting in one or two more Irish fighter on the undercard might have helped, but instead they've left it as it is, and just brought in Luke Wilton.

Hayemaker's stable:
Heavyweight: David Haye, David Price
Super-Middleweight: Tony Dodson
Middleweight: George Groves, Patrick Maxwell
Light-Middleweight: Ryan Rhodes, Joe McInally
Welterweight: Craig Watson, Curtis Woodhouse
Lightweight:John Watson
Super-Featherweight: Derry Matthews
Featherweight: Martin Linday
Bantamweight: Michael Maguire

Their website still has Josh Wale listed aswell, but he's apparently split ways.

It's a pretty decent stable, especially considering how people laughed when they heard Haye was going into promoting(although he probably has very limited imput currently). However they're quite short on numbers, and they've got a lot of prospects at the moment and will need them to develop before they become a real force. Losing Wale is a bit of a blow though.

Have to agree, Price would have made this card a lot more appealling.

I have to say im rather confused at the criticism of the Hayemaker bill. It is not supposed a world title bill with a massive undercard. Its a nice little bill with an interesting DOMESTIC main event which is split 50-50.

Its no better or worse than we see every friday on sky. Indeed isnt worst than the broadhurst bill tonight? (I know kell brook pulled out but still) Is this bill not exactly on par with Dodson-Quigley?

Having David Price on the card would have been a nice inclusion, but alas i shall settle for Maguire and Groves as my pre-main event entertainment.
