Just watched the Bunce interview, the lad is a credit to the sport and himself. What a nice kid. Good interview and Bunce and Kerr asked good questions. I sincerely hope he does well...

He's a greedy little cunt who's in Frank ******'s pocket. He sold out to Sky at the first possible moment and stabbed all his fans in the back by making them pay 15 bob to watch his chin get wrecked in 50 seconds by a Colombian tramp. He dissed Kotelnik as the worst champion ever a couple of weeks ago, and now he's claiming he's a tough, skilled fighter. And his chin is abysmal.

On the other hand, it's not his fault the press lick his arse 24/7, and he usually behaves himself. He's also got good speed and a great jab, and his guard has improved a lot.

Verdict: Mild dickhead.

As I said on another thread... Was a very good interview... spoke honestly. A different Khan from the pre-Prescott days. However even then, he was a genuine, hard working fighter providing us all with entertaining fights. Hope he does well.

I'm not really too bothered by his personality. He's young, perhaps a bit naive and stupid. Can't say I'm a fan of his though. Just doesn't appeal to me as a fighter.

I hope he does well, although his chin is going to hold him back big time, no doubt about that.

Exactly.

Good luck to the lad, I hope he does a job on Kotelnik.

The truth is they know that they can make a hell of a lot more winning this tidle and defending it. Its not good for the fans but its the Sports Network way. As a follower of the sport you have to realise that Sports Networks mission is primarily geared towards making their employees rich and not delivering fans with high risk fights. I certainly don't support this method but I understand why its done.

I have just seen the interview.... and I will be honest.

My thoughts on him have seriously changed.

I still don't like a few things about him, but at least he had the balls to say he isn't ready for Marquez etc.... better that than start bullshitting as he did before.

His chin will always be an issue of course, but good luck to the lad.

I thought Khan came across really well during the interview and Bunce is right in the last seven months he has matured and became a man. How far he will go in boxing I don't know but I do think he will beat Kotelnik with something to spare by simply boxing at length and not getting in close.

As said above, I've always thought Khan is a little naive, surounded by people feeding him BS and prone to speak before he thinks rather than some arrogant monster. I havn't seen the interview yet but I'm glad he came across well.

never had an issue with Khan's attitude, in fact it would be better for him if had more personality and was a character (that thick northern accent is annoying..LOL!)

I feel khan is still not mature physically and certainly mentally, everyone developes at different stages and khan i feel will be a late developer, people forget how young he is especially compared with the so called up and coming super stars (gamboa,26 Juanma lopez 25) and only a few fights less then the 31 year old Carl Froch.

He has a lot of natural athletic ability, however i do think his boxing skills are somewhat overrated, he has a good jab and decent footwork, but no defensive instincts and a poor boxing brain (although his work ethic and dedication will help him improve)

khan is a fast brawler, rather then the slick boxer people seem to think of him

No one asks him about his chin. Or what training he does to stop himself from getting hit.

I have a theory, the larger lighter boxers are around the shoulder the easier it is to Ko them, when they loose a few pounds around the shoulder they relax and are less likely to be Ko'd, i was wondering if Khan is doing this.......

But no one wants to ask the question....

Khan is a great lad and I wish him all the best in his career and life. Hopefully the haters will get off his back but I doubt this will ever happen, even when he becomes a multi weight champion and proves himself to be the greatest British boxer of all time.

I wouldn't go as far to say he will be the greatest British boxer of all time.

Disagree totally .... promoters make fights and the money wasnt right from either side !
Khan did want to fight them both ... but at the end of the day he has a manager to make sure he gets the right fight for the right money !

I hope he beats Kotelnik. There will always be animosity towards ****** fighters but I don't see taht Khan has talked any more crap than any other pro fighter sayng they're going to win a title, beat so and so or retire a legend. Yes, he's been mainstream since day one, but should he have eschewed the profile and the money and fought threatening opponents from day one just to keep the purists at ESB happy? He's now fighting a credible opponent for a credible title which, regardless of how he got into that position, should warrant our support.

I compleatly agree Jeff. In any dealings i had with Khan i have found him to be a really top lad. Amir and his team were sound in the Gomez fight. Then when we went over to his gym for sparing his team couldnt have been nicer.

Also i wont forget that his dad shar went out of his way to arrange for me to meet Freddie Roach, knowing im Irish he knew how much i wanted to meet him and went out of his way to sort it. He didnt need to do it and i dont forget things like that.

I'm a fan of him, I was made up when he beat Barrera after all I heard in the week leading up to the fight was how people couldn't wait for him to be knocked out again. He doesn't give up and is out to prove the critics wrong, a credit to the sport.

I have just watched this interview and I agree with Jeff. Very honest and humble interview. Said he's not ready for Marquez yet and that he badly wants to rematch Prescott. Said he won't be able to retire from boxing without having that rematch. Also talked about Murray and Thaxton.

He's gone up in my estimation.
