Blue Blood. Anyone seen it?

Has anyone seen the flim 'Blue Blood' about the Oxford University Boxing Team? I'm not even sure if it's a drama or documentary.

I wonder if Dunkykins will get FURIOUS:twisted: they didn't make one about the St Andrews University Boxing Team?:lol:

Iv not had chance to see it either , it looked like a film from the adverts and posters ect but iv read that its a documentry supose ill find out when i see it lol. Not heard any reviews or anything yet either dont think its been a hit .

I bought Blue Blood on DVD after somebody on here recommended it last year.

It follows a group of Oxford University students in there atempt to get an Oxford blue, and box for oxford against cambridge.

It is quite amusing, and some of the nerdy upper class characters boxing is hilarious. But by the end of the documentary I had to respect them for doing it.

Dont expect to learn too much about boxing from it, but still definately worth a look.

yeah it was funny kinda tongue in cheek with these upper class toffs thinking they are doing some fantastic work then they spar and they fall apart. but there is alot of respect for them at the end

I forgot about him..the arrogant american, religious, military schooled, astrophysicict..with a horse of a girlfriend if I remember rightly.

My favourite bit is when the uber geek is shadow boxing with a Hip hop tune playing over the top..his facial expressions are a treat, and his fists are at right angles to his forearms :lol:

:lol::lol: i remember that pretty vividly the complete concentration on all there faces when they throw these weak tentative punches is a treat.

thats what i kinda liked about it was the complete confidence they had in there "skills"

i felt really sorry for the trainer who had his work cut out when he had to choose form the bunch who was going in. you cant polish a turd was the line from film i will always remember


the heavywieght was a pretty beasty guy...booler boiler something like that:huh was the abusy of all his mates then comes out swinging like a mad man when he got in the ring...it's kinda what you watch the doc for is that moment when there ego dissappears like when the american just goes into his shell and just goes puss all of a sudden when he knows he can get hit while this pretty humble giant becomes a beast when he gets in the ring.

Its good to get u motivated when you see how hard they train but they are all atrocious at boxing.
