bit of a sham fight to headline, looking forward to cox and lloyd though.
Broadhurst doesn't have much power but Cox is one of my fave prospects atm.

Cox has a seriously padded record. An awful lot of red on boxrec!!!

:yep A step from the Afrobums.
Boxrec says this guy has fought 3 times and lost all 3
Sky gave him a decent record :huh

Whys Broadhurst so light at this weight?
Boxrec says this guy has fought 3 times and lost all 3

A lot of these African guys have incomplete records. Boxrec might not have the full info as they fight in obscure places on small cards.
Either that or he made it up
He doesn't look really bad tbh

This is the one reason some of our domestic prospects don't make it to the highest levels...... most spend there first 20 fights fighting total Eastern European or African bums

He's 12-3 apparently. Boxrec are shite with African boxers. Most have very incomplete records.
Hopefully Cox will look impressive in what's a step up in competiton. He's a good prospect.

If he hasn't seen them coming he has sight problems
Richie "believe you me" Woodhall thinks that Wilson is ready to go going into the 6th.

You know it.
Broadhurst landing some big shots in the 6th. They've thrown in the towel.
Richie was right, the guy was ready to go.

Yeah, they did. It was mentioned in Boxing News today. He says he's had his trainers license for a while and will be helping his trainer out in the corner.
Nice i like Pickering was a good fighter in his day

Yeah I saw it beter on the replay. The reception is shit so I missed some of the punches and the towel being thrown in. He was on his way anyway.
Richie's just said 'believe you me' twice in two sentences!

Is Pac really stronger than Hatton at 140?Hatton is a beast
If he is as powerful as they are saying then hatton is going in with the mini hulk
Looks something else to what we usually see on friday night fights
Bad cut on Coxs eye but doesn't seem to affect him. Swarming in alot to
Legit knockdown ? i would say so
someone type i look insane

cox missing wildly at times in that opening round. far too eager to try and KO lloyd. Cox certainly has a nasty streak in him, feigned trying to stamp on lloyd.
nufc16
04-24-2009, 05:57 PM
cox really needs to calm down, if he fights this wildly against brook he's gonna get knocked out.
nufc16
04-24-2009, 06:02 PM
into the 4th now, cox well on top, but lloyd giving a good account of himself.
nufc16
04-24-2009, 06:13 PM
into the 6th now, looks like cox is starting to tire from all the wild swinging in the earlier rounds. really has missed the target far too often tonight, needs to get back to his boxing skills and not try to knock the guy out with every punch.
hopefully will learn from this. i'd be really worried for him now if this was a 12 rounder rather than 8.
nufc16
04-24-2009, 06:17 PM
better 7th for cox, but caught with a shot right at the end and looked like it had hurt him, right on the temple. fell forward and into lloyd and MIGHT have gone down if lloyd hadnt been there, but not badly hurt.
nufc16
04-24-2009, 06:22 PM
cox wins by stoppage in the 8th. he is a dirty dirty fucker, could've had a few points deducted.
coming across ok in the post fight interview though.

ref had lloyd 1 points up going into the last round :huh
good job he got the stoppage.

cox is talented..but he doesnt act like a pro..dirty and disrespectful looking, needs to lose that side of him...like he was in unlicensed boxing from the 70's

was very wild in the first couple of rounds i thought.was better afterwards.should have fought on the outside more but kept gettin drawn in imo.id try get him a tough ten rounder before giving him brook.
nufc16
04-24-2009, 06:28 PM
disgrace when you think the BBBoC rejected lloyd as an opponent for brook, yet accepted elwell.

the ref in this ambler v mc dermott fight is the funniest looking boxing ref i've seen.
like curley from the three stooges...
McCrory's analysis was laughable. Apparently the ref should have been taking points left right and centre for all of Cox's indiscretions (coulda lost one for the head, agreed). Did he mention Lloyd's constant, and I mean CONSTANT holding everytime Cox got within a metre of him? That fat ass ref didn't do his job correctly tonight, on both sides. Consequently it ruined the fight when both men began to tire slightly.
I think all the holding, and generally good spoiling and defensive work from Lloyd frustrated Cox. It was a frustated performance, combined with being far too in love with his power after 4 stoppages in a row. Get back on the jab.
Broadhurst looked good against Afrobum #3 by the way. Very precise puncher. Very technically adept, good body puncher, everything is pretty nice to look at.
Shame about the power. If he's the biggest puncher in Woodhall's gym he must be training a lot of Malignaggi clones.
Would back him to beat the spoiler Lee Haskins handily on points, in a messy fight.
