Any thoughts? My first reaction is that to have 67 world title fights is a tad to much plus the unclear merry go round of fighters having belts is what makes boxng so confusing for the masses.

Thoughts?
I saw all of those except Evander Holyfield vs. John Ruiz and the only ones I enjoyed were Vitali vs. Lewis and Lyakhovich vs. Brewster.
So 2/64~ fights, well.. the division needs Haye vs. Wladimir BADLY, and we have something that is deserving of a heavyweight championship, FINALLY.

Here's hoping this is added to the list, later this year;
Vitali Klitschko vs. Ruslan Chagaev WBA WBC
The titles being apart for so long really made each one next to worthless. At least we now have one fighter holding two titles, so there are only three titleholders now. Hopefully, if Vitali fights the WBA titleholder at some point, that will further clear things up, leaving onlyl two title holders, each with two. Then, if victorious, I see Vitali retiring, leaving complete unification possible..

wow uve seen them all?
John Ruiz vs Hasim Rahman stands out as a very poor fight for me.
Lennox dismantling a good prime Hasim Rahman was highly impressive as was Vlad performance against byrd and Austin.
What i noticed was the recyclying of contenders such as A. Golota, Jameel mcline and old E. Holyfield.....this is what makes boxing lack cutting edge in high level performance when champion get to handpick certain men who arent a huge risk.

Dude, Golota won 2 of 3 those fights , he got robbed against Byrd and Ruiz ask any1,
not to mention Bowe fights , so how the fuck u can call him nonrisky contender?
also that old holyfield won against Valuev on the ring (maybe not on the scorecards)

Against Ruiz Golota was robbed but against Byrd.. i don't think so. Scorecards can go for Byrd and for Golota too.

Your missing the point no fighter gets around 6 or so WORLD title fights such as Golota and lose every single time.
Its like Jerry Quarry fighting for the title 6 times and never winning.
Title fights should be unified as soon as possible.......

Golota is the only fighter in history to get 3 title shots in a row...

Pathetic.
Every generation probably looks on its current division unfairly, but here we really do have an utter shit fest.

Yep, the games in great condition.. 60+ H/W title bouts in 10 years.
10 years from now, none of them will be spoken of with any esteem.
90% of them are already worthless in historical value.
Pretty bloody sad.
Great work anyway UTTER1. Nice avatar too!

Thanks mate, we should keep this thread alive for sheer statistical pleasure or displeasure whichever way you look at it.
Took me several hours to do so.
My main thing is that a lesser heavyweights that call themselves champions the better.
If David Haye wins for example he could very well fight for the IBF, WBO, IBO titles but be stripped of his IBF as he would have to face either Vlad or Vitali this coming winter.
I believe Chagaev will win the fight against Valuev but if its a Don King show then most likely will not win the result and i believe Povetkin will win the Vacant IBF.
So even by the end of year.........it still could be split into so many different ways.

I agree with the notion of Haye (assuming he wins, which I doubt), being stripped of the IBF diadem.
Fact of the matter is, if you consider WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO titles which are currently positioned atrociously on numerous names, who believes that any chance exists of these 'main belts' ever being unified??
The 'prestige' of any single Belt has also collapsed. Its a throw back to the old days now. It doesn't matter what title is held by whom, as the other 'dog collar' will never mean anything, as the fans know what fights they want to see... no longer is it such a triumph to obtain the WBC and WBA belts as one. If David Haye won the IBO title alone, and Val obtained all others, the fans would still call Haye the 'champ' as no one gives a rats arse about Val.
With the dominatiion by the Clits Bros., the chance of the original major belts being unified again is precisely nil... until Vit Clit retires, or marries his Auntie... The latter will come sooner.

Dont stress mate, my efforts are continuing. No avail with the original plan, now waiting on a response from another with the VHS-DVD transfer ability. I'll be sure to have them to you before you 18th B'day. Promise.

golota lost to ruiz. knocking someone down a couple of times then letting the opponent dictate the pace the rest of the way doesn't mean you win.

UTTER1... another thing I forgot to mention..
Assuming any man H/W, ever managed to unify the complete list of Alphabetic tiles, becoming 'THE MAN', its ridiculous to imagine the long list of promotional names, networks etc. ever being agreeable, for any reasonable bouts, for any reasonable fight with any reasonable direction.
The Cable networks control the money (via us force fed shit, fight fans), which controls the promotors, who control the Numb Skull Champions.
... where does this cycle begin and end???

Ironically, as boxing continues to accumulate more and more rediculous titles, they've never ever meant less!
For me it's now about fights not titles. Just give me a well matched bout. Forget the titles, they mean, in the main, nothing.
