Just watched Carl Froch online against Jermaine Taylor , it just doesn't get any more dramatic than that.. what a magnificent fight, and a high drama finish.. Jermaine to his credit boxed very well, but like always finishes slow and runs outa gas.. Kinda reminded me of when Mike Grant got caught early by Golota, got off his ass , shook off the knockdown and came on late to make his opponent cave in... A great win for Carl and a massive statement,,, him and Kessler would be tremendous or even Bute..

If ever a fight went exactly how I expected it was this one. I didn't think it would take so long but it played out in exactly the way I thought. It was almost exactly like Pavlik-Taylor I.

Froch - Andrade.

Fight of the decade right there.

It looked how I thought it would look too, although I didn't expect Taylor's jab to be so dominant...that's the best Taylor has looked since Hopkins!

Fucking last round. I actually shut my eyes and just listened to the commentary. Never done THAT before.

Common, there's no way you would have put money on Froch after ten or 11 rounds.

A thread worthy of a giant orange font.

This was a great win for Froch and I hope the repeat on ITV gets a lot of viewers, for the sake of British boxing.

you too: Froch was a gonner, I doubt there is anyone who can genuinely say they expected him to do that at the end.

not picking at people... I'm just shocked... need to watch it with a rational head though.

Mate, in a couple of years maybe. but now? Andrade would get KTFO!

I didn't watch the fight, I listened on the wireless. Will watch the ITV replay tonight but I posted this yesterday:

Obviously, I didn't think it was going to be so dramatic a finish but I could see it going the way it did.

Yeah Froch was done for, he had a boxing lesson for the first 6 rounds. All Taylor had to do was stay on his feet.

But you have to give the champion credit, 12 rounds and he did the business.

Froch proved what a Warrior he is tonight....and he certainly has gone up in my estimation.... However he really needs to change/adapt his style and especially his defense...which currently consists of blocking punches with his Chin!

.

I picked him to do almost exactly that in a detailed prediction that I can link you into once the search function is back up, if you like.

Not that I was confident of Froch winning by KO at the start of the 12th, if that's what you mean? But I did feel that Taylor was slipping quite badly in the 11th, which was the round I picked Froch to win in.

Yeah was perfect prediction by most people!!!Can't believe BBC still have Haye ranked above Froch in the British p4p rankings???Is that even possible??

I'd take Haye's destruction of Mormeck over Froch's win over Taylor. Haye has much more to his game than Froch - Haye is easily above Frock in the GB rankings.

You can't just rank someone over another person because they have more to their game. The Mormeck victory doesn't rank anywhere close to this, sorry mate but thats a shocking call. Froch has had the better results, unless Haye beats Wlad, Froch is ahead by a country mile.
