Virchis would be the totally wrong fighter for Mesi at this point of his career.
Virchis is a very limited boxer,but his firepower is truly impressive.
I would really fear for Mesi's health if he fought Virchis.

Mesi is the better, faster boxer with good power & not so good chin.

Virchis is the slower, less skilled fighter with top notch power & a solid chin.

Do the math and Virchis wins by KO before all is said & done.

Why is Mesi a joke at this point ? He is undefeated and easily makes it into the top 50 heavyweights out there right now, out of over 1000 active heavies. Thats not a joke in my book.

Besides, he is not fighting Virchis or Greenburg next, he is fighting Minto, another fringe top 50 fighter in my opinion.

If Mesi were to lose to Minto, then yes, maybee he should consider hanging them up , but if he beats Minto, then he should continue his march towards a title shot.

Good points, all of them but I don't think he's going to beat Minto, that's the problem.

virchis is probably the worst opponent for mesi to fight especially having suffered the injury he did... virchis has the power to put mesi to sleep forever and im not trying to be funny by saying that...

in his prime Mesi would have had a chance to win a wide UD, but I have a strong feeling Virchis would murder him with a straight right.

mesi was quite good with wins over DaVarryl Williamson, Monte Barrett and Jirov

i think he could win against Virchis if he was like he was 3 years ago

You are right! Would be crazy matchmaking to match him with a murderous banger like Virchis at this stage of Mesi's career.
