Radio commentary is very different to TV commentary. Radio coms have a much harder task of conveying how frantic that ending was... I thought this guy did it very well. TV pictures speak for themselves. Watching and listening to a HBO commentary is like watching someone commentate on a funeral or something.

Don't forget that everything has to be described in a fight on the wireless as the listener is blind - what punches are landing as well as trying to describe the bigger picture.... tough gig on the wireless.

Yanks build things up too much, make it sound so fake, like its scripted, Brit commentators you can really hear the emotion in their voices, much better. Also to portray that on radio is very difficult and he does it very well.
