No one on Question of Sport knew who Carl Froch was tonight when they showed his picture.
Phil Tuffnell thought it was Enzo Macarinelli!!!

Phil Tuffnell uhmmmed for a while before saying Macarinelli, and Austin Healy and Carlton Cole didnt have a clue.

Being into boxing so much, I sometimes forget what a minority sport it is. I find it quite depressing.
And you just know that if Carl saw that tonight, he'd be well fucked off :)

This is a real shame. It's a sad state of affairs when Britains ONLY World Champion isn't recognised by his fellow spotsmen. Especially after the fact that his last 2 fights have been superb encounters.
If Carl stopped fighting bums people would know who he is.

totally agree with you. I certainly do not have the knowledge of a lot of people who post on here in terms of history etc, but i fucking love boxing with a passion, and think it is a sad state of affairs that boxing is not held in higher esteem. I was on youtube the other week, and was watching a clip of a programme showing eubank and been sign a contract on live prime time tv to fight each other.
These days you are lucky if something like that gets a mention on the last page of the sports pages in the sun
