After he fucks up Cotto, PBF will, if he's at all a man about it, take a fight with him. Then after he fucks up PBF he can retire.

yep, that sounds good to me, a 3rd fight with viper sounds good too if he realy wants to stay active after cotto and PBF.:smoke

Mosely would logically fight PBF, IF he beats Cotto. In any event Shanes best bet would be to leave "The Viper" alone , because Forrest seems to have a spell over Mosely, just like Mosely does over DeLaHoya.

Can't think of anyone but PBF. Especially since Mosley have done PBF a "favour" by removing Cotto for him.

What's the point in discussing something that will never happen...

Floyd or Hatton

The winner of the two fights should face each other with the losers facing each other on the undercard. That would make a pretty good fight card

What's the point in discussing something that will never happen...Its called toying with possibilities; hyperthetically, which is fun. Furthermore anything is possible in sports.

Forget it, Cotto is beating Mosely and then a showwodn with PBF is inevitable.

Winner of Hatton-Mayweather....and then he should retire. If he beats Cotto and beats the winner Hatton-Mayweather he can ride off in the sunset and be considered one the best, if he loses he should retire. He has nothing else to prove. 3 titles at 3 weights one of the greatest talents in the sport ever, heart, and an ambassador.

I like Mosley and all, but the over the top love for him on this board is nuts. Beating a totally stationary Vargas and going the distance with fighters like Cruz and Estrada doesn't make me think the days of #1 PFP Sugar Shane are coming back. I thought he lost to DLH in their second fight, he got beat pretty clearly by Wright and hasn't shown much of his great speed since...when? The Collazo fight was a nice win, but really, when was the last time he looked really good? If he had come up as a welter and hadn't looked the way he did at 135, would anybody be saying this sort of stuff now? No way. I'm still not 100% sold on Cotto's chin and he seems to be especially easy to hit when he doesn't have the faster hands (see Torres fight), but he beat two guys with pretty fast hands and feet in Judah and Quintana and his chin seems to be better at 147. I don't think Mosley has the speed (and maybe not the power; he hasn't shown to be a monster puncher at 147) to beat Cotto, much less PBF.

If PBF fights Mosely and beats him, all of boxing will scream that Shane is "washed up" and has been washed up since he lost 2-3 fights in succession a few years ago .. I'd like to still see the fight, but this shit about PBF being scared of Shane or being "man enough" is garbage

Mosley has a hell of a task in front of him.....If Mosely does beat Cotto he should take on PBF as that would be the most satisfying of accomplishments.

One thing I'm pretty sure of is that Mosely will leave a good percentage of himself in the ring on Nov 10th. If he does beat Cotto and moves on to fight PBF, Floyd will surely be fighting half of one of our generations ATG's. Meaning Cotto (win, lose or draw) will make an impact on Shane and it won't be an invigorating one. Of course some would argue that Shane is going to totally blow Cotto away, which I highly doubt but anything is possible.

Given both mens ring styles I would have to favor Mosley to be victorious though...

IF he beats Cotto and IF Mayweather beats Hatton, Mosley should fight Mayweather.

He should fight the winner of Money Mayweather vs. Hitman Hatton, of course.

I am all about respect to the fighters and to the fans ( because fans see themselves in the fighters and take matters personally) but what's this supposed to be - a mind game kinda who's more over-confident or just a provocation to Cotto fans? It's a pitty that they ( the Cotto supporters do the exact same thang announcing Cotto's next fight as a psychological boost to the whole fanbase, talking about who will be Foty, P4P ratings in other threads)... The time passes and we all get heated up, soon we will call names to each other and both Mosley and Cotto are the more civilized guys you can ever find to start with... Bizarre stuff! People should shield their fears and doubts in the most sincere and direct away. I love Shane, the guy is a true class act, reminiscent of Henry Amstrong, Ray Robinson and the most explosive, creative and pleasant technicians in the Game but I am not about to dismiss Miguel Cotto who represents the future along with Diaz, Paul Williams, Bero and Ward, actually Miguel has shown more balls to fight a guy that Floyd is avoiding so much, handpicking others... To answer the question at hand, well, Shane is still the WBC interim welter titlist, isn't he? Therefore, the logical assumption is that Mayweather is making a voluntary defense against Ricky and whoever wins that one needs to keep that title fighting the mandatory challenger sooner the sooner the better... If Cotto wins, then there's no obligation for the WBC title holder to face him but both WBA WBC commissions should work out a unification fight before the IBF or the WBO get in the traffic line too...
