Here the streets of Manilla were empty when time came for the fight to show and usually Manilla is very crowded. It seem everyone was watching the fight. Was it the same way in England?

I was asleep in bed, i was more bothered about Danny Williams fighting.
I could'nt be assed with Ricky Hatton.

The street in front of me was pretty lively but that was because folk were returning from the pubs and clubs.
I have not met one person who saw the fight.

well boxing isnt so big over here any more and Hatton is our biggest attratction but people arnt big enough fans to stay up for it. basically boxing or Hatton isnt popular enough here to have a real big impact like Manny

Well I wasn't on the street as i watching the fight.
Actually the first time I heard someone who isn't a boxing fan mention it was when I was out earlier today (comments along the lines of Ricky Hatton is soft as shit, how could he knocked out? We thought he was the best ever. The only other comment was why didn't the ref stop the fight earlier)
I try to tune out idiots who know fuck all about boxing, but sometimes it's so hard.

Funnily enough, the first I heard of guys who aren't boxing fans talking about it was the Sunday mornig when I went and played my footy match for my club. My manager and a few of the lads had seen it and they seemed fairly sensible about it. Not just saying Hatton is shit, but decent comments like 'Pacquiao was just too fast for him' or 'Hatton couldn't see the punches coming'. I was pleasantly surprised.

You'd rather see the nutjob domestic fighter who isn't going to go up a level in boxing and never really was and definately will not now (don't mention Tyson or Vitali you'll embarras yourself further), over the P4P number one fighter who is trained by the P4P number one coach?
You really do need mental health treatment. Also I assume you caught the Williams fight for free and didn't order the PPV in which you're a cheap git with no mates.
Although I have had suspicions about you and Williams was doing you or were you just having a wet dream?
Oh by the way you still haven't named your local gym have you kid? If you have and I missed it then I apologise. But why not name it right here right now. Come on Kool? Either man up or admit to being a bullshitter.

Hearing that from casual fans would have brought a smile to my face. You're lucky my friend.

I'd have liked to have been there watching it in Manila. Maybe on a big screen at the Elorde sports centre. Followed by some cock fighting - just because the main event finished so quick.

No mate I haven't, just know that he was/is into cock fighting, and that the Elorde centre in Manila is a big cock fighting arena as well as a boxing venue.

I'd have watched it in Manilla too given the chance.

It was just past 5am, the sun was just rising and I had wasted the PPV money.
What a time to be alive.

The cock fighting probably was the main event!
No but in england I think people were dissapointed but deep down everyone knew that Pacquiao was going to win really.

The British fans seem to be disassociating themselves from Hatton much the same way Mayweather Sr. did.
Nobody likes a loser, I guess.
I read that the fight did a million buys in the UK so someone over there must have seen it.
I'm not. I did pick Manny before the fight. But I have always have and always will be a Ricky Hatton fan.
I bought the PPV. I'll support Ricky in whatever he decides. Personally I hope he retires and concentrates on promotion and TV. But if he has another fight I'll support him.
The Pac fight was only one were I wasn't fully behind Ricky as I rate Pac very highly (as a man and as a fighter and Freddie Roach is my idol)
There's only one Ricky Hatton, one ricky hatton............
