There should be a ban on the word elusive.
Are we just doing the main card or both?

All of the above. Feel free to choose as many or as few winners as you like. Some people prefer to research the fighters on Youtube a bit before making predictions on the undercard - so perhaps some more boarders will post more picks over the next day or two. All choices are accepted - right up until the pay per view starts.

what do you mean as few as you want? how does the point system work?
Is it still 4 points to pick winner
3 points for round(and winner)
3 points for picking UD,tko or sub for a possible 10 points?
so picking more fights would obviously get you more points or what did you have in mind Sugar.
Rashad TKO 4

Yes - you are correct. I PM'd Jimmie about this because I couldn't remember how he broke the score down.
I was saying that you were free to make as few or as many picks as you like - because I didn't want to mislead anyone into thinking that you had to guess at all of them in order to participate. It goes without saying that the more fights one predicts correctly - the more points one accrues.
Since I'm picking up the ball with this this month - I would like to add bonus points for guessing the correct submission.
+3 points for guessing the exact submission.
So a guess of GSP over Alves via armbar in 3 would still garner points if GSP won by rear naked choke in 3 - it just wouldn't garner the bonus points for naming the exact submission.

I believe Machida wants to be mma's Muhammad Ali. Ali fought the way he did because he had the athleticism to do so, and he did not want to get hit. We later found out Ali had a great resolve, and responded well when he was hit. Machida fights the way he does for the same reasons Ali did. We have yet to see if Machida has Ali's chin and resolve. Evans cannot pressure Machida the way Ali was pressed by Frazier. But if anyone in the division has the speed to time Machida it is Evans. Evans also has the courage to swing for the fences. I won't be surprised to see most other's predictions of Machida come true. Still...
Evans tko 3

Why not? We should count everything right up until the PPV starts. I'm fine with whatever the general consensus is.

Oh. OK. I see what you mean. I didn't know Wilson was out. This obviously voids Larson/Wilson. I think anyone that wants to call the Larson/Pyle fight should be allowed to.

What, you don't think Matt "Minnie Tyson" Serra can spark Hughes? But seriously...
Sometimes I like to predict an uncommon projected outcome.
I have never been impressed with Hughes' boxing when observing footage of his gloved sparring sessions. I believe that Serra probably believes in his punch especially after his first fight with Pierre, and will be willing to punch with assertion should the moment arise. I think that when fighters have a mutual respect for each other's grappling, openings for strikes can occur.
I won't be surprised by any outcome in this one, including a Hughes victory by stoppage. Hughes has more experience at a higher weight, was thought of as unbeatable by some a few years ago, and though he's been losing it was to top notch fighters.
As much as I hate to say it I think Evans catches Machida and ends all the Machida elusive talk. I so hope I'm wrong.

My picks revisited
Evans tko 3- I think Evans should have been allowed to continue. A champ has to be given the benefit of the doubt, and deserves chance to defend the title.
Oh well, that's how you knock somebody the fuck out. I don't know all the up and comers, but 205 may have its long reigning superstar.
Serra tko 3- I gave Serra rounds 1 and 3. Thought announcer was reading Serra's scorecards.
Xavier UD- Could I have been anymore wrong here?
Miller sub 3- Main card's not going so well
Edgar UD- I called it bitches.
Larson UD- Got the right winner
Hague tko 2- right winner
Nover sub 2- just off the mark here
Soszynski UD- right winner
Yoshida UD- right winner
Roop sub 2 - right winner
6 out of 11 winners, and one correct result. I don't remember the point system we used, but I don't think it was my worst night.
