Floyd Sr"
My man that just fought Roy, Tony Hanshaw, is fighting Glen Johnson on November 3rd I believe in Biloxi. You know, the guy that knocked out Roy Jones.

Glencoffee sure stays busy, doesn't he? He's not sitting around waiting for another shot at Clinton Woods. My guess is that Johnson will beat Hanshaw.

I'd go along with that. But Johnson is isn't a young man and sooner or later he will be there for the taking for a guy like Henshaw.

Johnson should win this. Why doesn't Hanshaw go back to 168? He looked a lot better there.

Agreed I mean props to the Road Warrior but if Henshaw manges to beat Johnson convincingly it will really say allot about Jones progress right about now ..

Very true. Johnson is getting up there in age he's probably overdue to look old in the ring. I'm guessing he beats Hanshaw, but a result the other way wouldn't shock me.

Holy SHIT. Two guys I really like, and I honestly don't know who to pick. You'd think that If Roy was able to maul Tony a bit, Glen will devour him. But, Roy still had the speed to compete with a guy like Tony, who is very very slick and will most certainly fight a different fight against TRW than he did against RJJ. This could prove sweet redemption for Hanshaw after being written off by some ignorami on here as a 'never-was shot-Roy comeback victim'; or it could be yet another respectable feather in the cap of Johnson. I think Hanshaw's career would be more hurt by a loss at this point, so I'll pull for him...although I'd really like to see Glen build momentum too. :?

I wish he would. At this point I don't think anyone can question the kid's balls though.

Definitely not questioning his balls, but his choice of opponents looks like a guy trying to cash out. There's plenty to do at 168, where physically he looked so much better to me. He's just not scary enough to threaten the best guys at 175.
But maybe Glen finally will age, and we'll see Hanshaw take the next step. I'd personally like to see him face Jeff Lacy in Jeff's comeback fight this winter, but I think I read that Jeff is going up to 175 as well.

I think he beats Jeff at either weight...and upon a little more deliberation I'm making him a slight dog against old man Johnson...you're absolutely right he needs to return to 168 where he could definitely mount a campaign for a belt within a couple of years. :-(

I know, he has the skills and speed to confront anyone other than Kessler and Calzaghe (against whom he probably couldn't get a fight anyway), and I'd love to see him against someone like Bute on a BAD headliner.

Hanshaw really impressed me against Roy... Roy hurt him on serveral occasions and he just kept coming... I tip my hat to the man.

:thumbsup EXACTLY what I was thinking, Hanshaw-Bute would be a dream. And yeah, I'd at least give him a damn good chance if not pick him outright over anyone short of JC and MK. Definitely like him in a rematch with Mendy. His main problem in their first fight was with JP's athleticism, and he's already had a baptism-by-fire education since then with someone who's made a living relying on sheer athleticism in the ring.
