How would he do against Tszyu & Pac?

He beats em both IMO.

Cervantes was on a another level all together from Hatton.

Im leaning towards Cervantes also but do you see any problems for him say either Pac's speed or Tszyu's pinpoint right?

I'm undecided to be honest, but one thing's for sure...Cervantes was miles ahead of Hatton, and anyone else around today, short of Pac of course...

You wouldnt see JMM giving him a great fight?

Sure, without question, but ultimately Pambele would assert himself, and you know he would put JMM on the deck on the way to a 15 round decision. Cervantes was of the old 15 round days and IMO, a tougher nut than JMM, or for that matter, most of these guys today.

I was watching him on youtube against DeJesus and even in the last round his posture is the same as the first. amazing conditioning and discaplin.

Yeah, that fight. I saw it live on CBS that day and I was amazed at what a tiger and in control Cervantes was in vanquishing DeJesus like that.

He'd beat Pacquiao, obviously.

Tszyu is an interesting one: Tszyu was very adaptable and of course had THAT right hand that would work well against Cervantes. I think, however, that Cervantes' ring generalship would allow him to pull this one out. Tszyu tended to fight his opponent's fight (albeit very well) and Cervantes would be a bit too textbook and durable for Tszyu to get away with such tactical inadequacy. I'd expect Cervantes to pull off a close but firm decision.

Monster at 147, but what Locche did to him was a poema

Great fighter and I think he'd beat both Tszyu and Pac. I think his size would be a factor and I also think he'd be too big for JMM. I don't foresee JMM moving up to 140 as well as Pac has.

You may be right about him even beating Pac. IMO, the guys from the era of 15 rounders were superior in general to the guys of today. The really great ones could suck it up in those rounds 13 thru 15 and seperate the men from the boys.

Cervantes was big for 140 and so technically correct. I just feel it would take a special 140lber to beat him. Now I do believe Pac is a special fighter and possibly even a special 140lber but I just think Cervantes size and discipline would be a tough nut for Pac to crack.

I think he could outbox Tszyu, he's an active boxer who counters effectively and uses the reach well. Though his style is not quite the best bet against Tszyu who for me is a great 140 pounder who is technically sound and uses thudding shots to hurt his man, and very accurate. I'll take Cervantes but in honesty im not too fussed because of the styles.

He should beat Pac allday but you just never know with that guy. Cervantes on points for the forum's sake

Cervantes had a tendency to stand upright and somewhat flatfooted. I think I'd take him over Tszyu, but it would be interesting to see how he handles Pacquiao's all-around speed and mobility.

Shut him out in the first one, I heard.

I pick Kostya. Not sure about Pacquiao.

At 140 he would give Pac everything.

The best gauge I have of Cervantes is past prime, agaisnt Benitez and Pryor I'm afraid. I'll say pac via decision, but Cervantes over Tszyu (styles)
