Bruno wins celebrity boxing version of Weakest Link

Former heavyweight boxing champion Frank Bruno was a shock winner of a celebrity boxing version of Weakest Link.

Bruno stunned host Anne Robinson by seeing off legends Chris Eubank, Henry Cooper, Barry McGuigan and Joe Calzaghe.

The show, filmed this week, will be aired later this year. Frank, 47, won a five-figure sum, to be given to a charity of his choice, reports The Sun.

A pal said: “Frank was delighted. Some of the world’s top boxers were there, past and present, but it was great to see our Frank crowned champion once more.

Bruno has battled back to health after being sectioned under the Mental Health Act in 2003. He has since offered support to other elite sportsmen who have suffered mental illness — including Paul Gascoigne.
